I just finished painting up my Battle-scape I took a couple shots with some minis on it and without. Take a look. I PS'd the background to eliminate the table and other clutter.

I just finished my first bastion from the Imperial Strongpoint I purchased.

These look excellent, nice color choices for a burnt lanscape, the weathering on the Rhino is impressive and from what i can see in the pics, your soul drinkers are awesome!

Thanks, My first Marines left something to be desired, but I have been going back and retouching them with some better techniques. The Landspeeders are fresh off the painting line. I find that painting terrain is quite a bit easier than painting the models. It's certainly more forgiving. Thanks for the compliment!

I used a lot of the GW earth tones starting with Graveyard Earth, and built it up with a little Bestial Brown, Snakebite Leather, Desert Yellow, Bleached Bone, and some Fortress Grey, and a little skull White. The Rhino is almost completely Bestial Brown with some Vomit Brown Highlights. I used Boltgun Metal for the damage and stippled black around it. I then used Gryphonne Sepia wash over certain areas to weather and rust it up a bit.

I'd like to see some more of your marines and soul drinkers? they appeal to me greatly, i'm just about to start reading the omnibus so that may have something to do with it :-) your weathering is honestly very well done, you have a great grasp of what shades and colors work well for a theme!

Hey thanks! You can check out my gallery for some images of the rest of my army. Some of the earlier images aren't that great and neither is the painting, but as I progressed I got better. I will get some more shots of my retouched Marines.

Hehe...You know I still give credit to anyone willing to at least try. I ran into a couple guys in my FLGS and they had hundreds of dollars worth of Miniatures and none of them were painted and they had little intention to. I got into this stuff because of the fluff and the rest just filled in. I love it. I love the story, the painting, and the game. I think people should at least give painting a try. Having an army that you've painted battle it out is something to be proud of. And there are so many tutorials and help on Dakka and YouTube that just about anyone can develop at least something worthy to table up. A friend of mine has a very simple paint scheme with his Dark Angels and they look pretty good. I have a graphic arts background and I have been involved with art in some form most of my life, so I had a lot of the theory down, just needed to hone my skills. I just turn on some music and start painting eventually lose track of time realize it's 1 AM and I have to get up at 6 AM to go to work.
