Good Afternoon,
I am by far a slow painter,, no speed to my painting at all,, but I also have cancer & am getting over that too,, I was told I would die,, but I found something to keep me distracted & while I cannot paint as much as I would like too,, I still find sometime to paint,, I have played around with highlight's & shadow's and for the moment I am rather happy with my progress although I do look forward to rapid improvement's in the coming month's while I have non-chemo time, lolz...
Any way's here is my Ork Battlewagon that I am nearing completion on (total time so far: 6 and a half month's)..
PS: I did have another account, but I cannot reset the lost password // always data supplied invalid...
PS: First Group of Images are what's Completed to Date,, Second set of Images is the Unique little Changes to make it 'my' vehicle (Muddy Options),, Final Set is the Skin Re-Done that I am working on at the moment.
Please Provide Feedback & C+C...
Thank You For Your Time & Help...

Wow!!! You may think you paint slow, but it's paid off in the results. Your painting is so clean, everything with in the lines, the highlighting looks great.

Thank You for Your Comment 'Grass4hopper' ... It made me smile & with the illness I have, that's hard to come by... Thank You
I am now posting 5 photo's of some completed mud work to my Battlewagon... I am proud of the Mud but I noticed some of the left track peeled off on my Desk, lolz... which I will now fix... I have two remaining wheel's outstanding which I will also work to correct too... Not long to go now and my first Ork Vehicle will be finished which is Exciting to me... Please provide Feedback, Thank You
I wanted to achieve the 'wet' mud look,, but it dried & looks dried... is there something I can do to give the wet look?

I like the colors you've chosen for the wheels and mud, but I see what you're saying about it looking like dried mud. I'm not very experienced with painting, so I'm not sure about how to achieve the 'wet' mud look. You could always ask over in the Painting & Modeling section of Dakka.
Also I just watched Catattafish's How to Mud up a Rhino video on Youtube today, and it has some good pointers on how to prevent the mud from peeling or flacking off.

@ Grass4hopper,
Thank you for the reply & video link, it's different to how I have done mine, but for the more 'clean' look I will definately do it that way... Thank You
As for the Ork Green/Brown looking Mud, I have assumed my Orks come from a Planet much like our Venus, all Super Heated Swamps,, which explains the Mud build up and the Lack of Care to remove the Mud from the various Vehicle's & why my Red's are no overly bright too...
Once the Vehicle is done, I am going to try free hand checkers on many various part's & the decal sheet for everything else... I used a Youtube video to learn the means to apply the Decal's, so I hope I do not mess them up too much or not at all!!... lolz... As soon as I can, I very much look forward to getting more photo's online.
Today I completed the final two wheel's & started to highlight the Red, once the Red is done, I will finish the Purple & add in some Greens/Yellow's (for Contrast) & do the Freehand. maybe by the end of next week I should have that completed & just in time to go back to Hospital too,, which will be a great achievement for myself.
Thank You all for your Encouragement & Support

I think for the wet look you could add some gloss varnish afterwards. I use it for my muddy bases and I find it works ok. Not sure if it's the best way of doing it though.
I'm loving the battlewagon so far, with the rather original colour scheme. And of course love the mud.

Your painting is great, The colours are not what you typically see for orks so it stands out (in a good way) Nice to see the Ork accessorising and having matching purple fingernails

@ Dantay_xv,, I tried following a White Dwarf Article to get a Gem Like Effect... messed up, so I redid the nails & left as is...
Does anyone know how I can paint very small finger nails like a purple Gem (Such as the Elder Gems)??... Video Tutorial would be really appreciated...
Thank You All For You Positive Feedback.
--- True Story ---
When I first started painting over 1 year ago now,, I had only one paint bought for me & that was my Purple Paint, so I painted my AboR Waaaagh Boss clothing in Purple,, while learning to play the game with just 10 boyz (unpainted) & my Ork Boss,, I had my boss in Cover & he survived wave after wave of attack's of space marine's...
Knowing the Orks are Superstitious about such matter's,, I figure the entire Army is using Purple instead of Blue for their Luck,, but in a more pronounced way...
Is that a neat way to start an army... lolz... It's been the only game I have ever played & this weekend, I will be playing my second game ever & if I do well enough,, my two friend's will be buying me some lotta's,, assuming I can beat them, lolz... I doubt it...

Sounds like a neat beginning for your army.
I start by making the area black, then at the bottom edge paint the lightest colour in a semi circle. repeating the process with darker colours'
Tiny spot of white as reflecttioon on the black.
