Does anyone remember the monthly vows threads that we used to have here? What happened where we stopped creating one?

About 8 months back it was made a vow not to continue them?

Honestly I'd never heard of them. Maybe set one up here in the format you remember as a template and see if it catches back on.

An admirable goal. My Tyranid Pwnography thread is somewhat tapped for ideas at the moment, but I see you've got an avatar I can work with.

So this will be for when my Tyranids fail instinctive behavior and go "Berserk". Gonna paint the gray blobs with eyes.

I think there was just a period where nobody started one. Start one for next month in the last day or two of this month, then use the mod alert button to request it gets stickied for the month. So long as people use the mod alert button to request the vow thread gets stickied, we have no problem doing so.

Not so. When you need it, it works. Quick, too.

I'll definitely make use of the button. I really liked the vows. I thought they were kind of motivating. I look forward to doing them again. Hopefully it will catch on.

Your stuff is amazing as well. Your workspace post from a few days ago still has me drooling. Disneyland buffets don't have that kind of variety.

But on topic, make the thread indeed, extra motivation is always a welcome thing.

I vow to bump this thread so that others can see this and be prepared to notify a mod to make it a sticky, in addition to posting vows.

A sample:
My vow for June will be to take 10 requests ( ~1 every three days) for models from Dakkanauts in my Tyranid Modeling thread. I further vow to buy a small box of figures from another army and paint them to TTQ, to understand the frustration involved for other armies.

I vow to remember to make a vow thread come the end of the month or really really close to it.

And I vow to try and gank you in a horrifying manner for a sticky thread you were told you'd get if you forget

Actually, you can keep it, my threads are sticky enough as it is.
