hey dakka, ive been painting and modeling for awhile now, but ive finnaly decided to create an account here.

so anyway, ive recently started a space marine army and to be different i chose to play a crimson paladin army (page.30 of the SM dex.) i decided on a scout based force.

this is my interpretation of the crimson paladins, the paint i created i think is suiting. i would like youre opinions, suggestions, and comments.

Looks good, my only question is are you going to be playing them as BA or SM. SM don't have Stormravens, only BA and GK have them so far.

well ive thought about that, and right now my friends just let me use the SR as space marines ( i have the data sheet from white dwarf) but if i were to play them in a tounament setting, i would probably use them as blood angels.

if anyones interested, i use forge father vulkan he'stan (best SM hero in my opinion) and i just finished paiting him last night.

this is the chapter symbol i created for them, i know they already have one that is a skull with a cross in it, but i thought that it was very un-creative and un-imaginitive. so i came up with this.

Potentially nice, but there seems to be an awful lack of depth on your miniatures. Try to give their armour a wash of Badab Black, Devlan Mud and Baal Red.
I'm sure you'll be surprised how awesome they can look with a little bit of extra effort.

Also, I'm somewhat worried about the chapter badge... Looks quite chaos-y! Do I smell a potential traitor in here...? ^^

thanks for the tips, ill try it with the next model im painting. haha, i thought about the chaos thing too but originally in my concept art i had an eyeball in the center of the "C" but i scratched that out after i thought it would look too much like a choas god symbol.

Finnally got some TH/SS termies (thanks to Squallbuddy), painting them to go along side with He'Stan.

Nice chapter. Love the flame work on your terminators. Perhaps you might consider adding flames to your tactical squads to keep them from looking like blood ravens. Great work!

I saw scouts, then Tac marines, then terminators, then a TITAN! Talk about scaling up!

Anyways, the painting looks good. I'd suggest a very delicate reddish wash on that Terminator helmet - it looks too white right now. A wash will darken it slightly and bring out the lines.

The titan is a scratchbuild, right? I think the painting could use some more detail, freehand on the leg armour and the shoulderpads would go a long way if you have the talent A super-detailed chapter symbol would be awesome! If you're good with computers, you can whip one up in Photoshop/GIMP (or Paint if that's how you roll...) and print it off on cardstock, then paste it on. Hassle-free detail and custom decals!
