I was asked if I'd done any other conversions, so here goes - this is a Tau single-seat light support fighter. Armed with twin linked burst cannon, plasma rifles and missle pods, designed for rapid strikes on enemy armour on advance battlefields. Primarily relying on speed to survive, it also has a shield generator, but otherwise I envisaged this as a 10/10/10 vehicle...In playtesting it's had mixed fortunes, from very lucky to crash and burn on sight!

Ooh, that is pretty cool. Only critic would be that the burst cannons on the wings don't look like they are attached very good - otherwise it is very nice.

You're right, the burst cannons were a bit of a nightmare, and it's still a WIP, but my son and I were excited to get it painted and on the battlefield...:-)

Very Egyptian looking, is that the look you were going for? I think it's due to your choice of colours and the stripes along the top.

yeah, the guns lokk a bit flimsy on the ends maybe swap the missiles and the burst cannons around?

But other than this its a sweet looking gaming model.

I'm going to bridge the gap between the wing/cannon with small strips of plasticard, then probably a couple of small strips around to tie them in...maybe some small outer fairings with winglets....like the lower fins on a Pirahna skimmer maybe?

Not conciously! Now you mention it though...the colours are just traditional Tau homeworld, and I suppose they are from a desert world, so perhaps it's just something in the sand???

What is this converted from, a Romulan Bird of Prey?

And I would suggest to start a Tau blog in the project subforum http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/forums/show/56.page instead of starting 4-5 threads on almost the same topic here.

The bits are the back of the wings would look good if you did them in the traditional tau redish brownish
