I have been kicking around a few ideas for an attack bike for a while now. Here are some pics of what I have as far as parts I want to use and a general idea for where, and I will post more as I get it done and photographed. I know the concept is a little orky, but I definitely want to use this for SM. Let me know what you think, and any recommendations.

Seat? and the whole lot together.

The seat looks like it might be to big for the SM, but everything else looks great. Looking forward to see what you create.

Yeah, I will most likely scrap the seat. I have a few other potential uses for it anyway. I'll put up pics of where all of it came from in a bit. you will probably be a bit surprised...

I'm going to guess a car model, probably a hotrod from the grill.

Close, Large Scale Truck. Think it was originally from a tractor pull model or some such.

Here are a few updated pics, I need some advice with where to go from here. Obviously it all still needs Imperialized...

Exhaust pipe?

[Thumb - P1020737.JPG]
where I would put that. But then how do I attach the rear wheel? I have several spare tires, I could go with a trike style I guess, thoughts?

The mock up looks great.

Hmmm . . . that might look good as a exhaust tip, but I think curved some exhaust pipes would be cool. Or maybe have that piece coming off the side of the engine, and have exhaust pipes come out of that piece.

Are you making this and Attack Bike with a Gunner? Cause that will affect how the back tires are attached.

No, I mis-spoke when I said Attack Bike, just a Marine Bike. I'll look at your tip ideas, could work wonders. That chunk is pewter, so it may be that I set it aside for another day because it would be a pain to chunk up.

If you have any advice on a way to create a grill or something to toss in the scoop, I would appreciate it. As is, any dirt that gets tossed by the front wheel would drop right into the air intake.

Think I found a way to finish out the rear wheel, mind this is just another mock up, the rear fender bit is from and A-team van, center console section... Tempted to build up the Mr. T for something, not sure what though, he's too big to be a Marine.

The fender looks great, and you could run some sweet exhaust pipe against it's contour.

Not to nit pick or anything, but the engine is upside down.

Yeah, on purpose, that motor alone is the same size as a standard bike by itself. I didn't want to make it too much taller, but a marine can sit on the oilpan, which is now a gas tank. I still need a way to do a vent cover for the intake, and putting a Marine on the is going to be a PITA.

Ah, that makes sense. Well, it looks good! Can't wait to see it done

Thanks! I can never tell if what I have is really as brilliant as I think it is, I have spent a ton of time on things before, thinking them genius the whole way, then realized they are utter rubbish.

More updates! Got the rear wheel attached, not my favorite position, but how I wanted it was just too much work. On to the pictures!

I still need to do the rear shocks, exhaust, handlebars, and find a way to put a marine on it. What do you guys think?

Personally I like the way the back of the engine and the front of the rear fender lined up in your mock up better than the way it is now. I thought it formed and perfect valley for your the SM to sit.

Just my humble opinion, you're making great progress.

Looks good so far.

Though I must admit as a car enthusiast the fact the you have the engine upside down and backwards bothers me a bit...

@Grasshopper, wow, I actually didn't notice that before. Adding that to my list of changes now...

@Mad4Minis, Yeah, me too, but I don't have GS right now, and I do have several spare motor/tranny assemblies. I plan to do another one of these in the future, after I get some GS, and have it more of a Samurai style bike.

The fender looks great. I liked the position of the front shocks in the last version. I understand that it might put the engine to close to the ground after the rear fender was moved, but I'm wondering it might look better if you moved it somewhere between the previous position and the current position.

Oh, The shocks aren't fully mounted yet, if you meant how the top of the shock, comes above the bike, that won't change, but if you meant the angle of the shocks relative to the ground, that will be adjustable all the way up until i get the handlebars and rider in place, I try not to nail down as much as I can avoid until I have to. I have destroyed too many minis trying to get them apart.

That's a really smart idea, I probably would have glued it, and then hand to adjust it later.

Most of my jokes die on impact, so if you find one of them funny enough to quote I'm more than happy

Yeah, I find as I go that this gets more orky as time moves on. Hopefully once I get the structure finished and start adding details, I can Imperialize this more. A few aquila and few dozen purity seals should do the trick.

@Grass4Hopper, so did you mean the angle on the forks?

The angle on the forks, also the front of the bike was a little lower to the ground when the angle was greater.

Ok, I'll try and take several pics with the forks at different angles to see what you guys think.

I have given some thought to handlebar placement, any argument with locating them in a slightly unorthodox position, by which I mean, not attached directly to the forks?

I am thinking by the 41st millennium that this could be accomplished.
