My friends and family are starting a large summer 40k campaign and we decided that the Chaos and Eldar players needed gates to spice up the games.

So here is my first attempt at making an Eldar Webway Portal



First off I made a pattern based off of the Dawn of War 1 game. I made two outside and one inside sections cut from PVC Board. It is a right pain to cut but very strong and you can carve and sand it if you like. Then I used some Inkjet Transparencies for the portal.





I then used Green Stuff (for the first time) to fill in the gaps of the sandwiched layers. and to adhere the plastic pellets and the wire going up the middle. I'm far from done and I know I've already made a few mistakes but I would love to hear any thoughts and suggestions to make it better.

Looks pretty cool. You may want to use air drying clay to fill the gaps as it is easy to sand and get smooth - as well as being a lot cheaper than GS.

Otherwise it looks great.

Its defenantly on its way to being awsome, but it is wip, and I like the adition of half a kender surprise egg lol
