Hello!

I thought it might be time to show off some of my Ultramarines. I started this army near the end of 4th Edition, mostly to fight against my friend's Necrons, and it quickly grew into an eclectic collection of all things Space Marine. While I use this force for gaming, it's one that I've really come to enjoy showing people, and one that's always being updated. Hopefully I'll be able to receive some feedback and show some artistic progress during the course of this log.

The Lagan Campaign is mentioned briefly in Codex: Space Marines (5e). It involved the Ultramarines 3rd Co. reclaiming the Lagan system from the insidious Tau. I imagine it involved trench fighting on muddy backwater planets, the Ultramarines spreading their already sparse resources thinly in order to aid Imperial Guard and Navy divisions in accomplishing such an impossible task. I don't imagine they had much time to polish their armor or buff out the dents, either.

I love the gritty feel that your ultras have, much better than a clean ultra army...it gives them so much more character.

Thanks! I will post an army shot when I figure out how to take a good one. I'm still working on a photography method that will showcase the mini properly...

The current project is a Predator tank. In the meantime, I think I may finally have snapped a good picture of this dreadnought.

As a side project, I'm working on some Nob bikers. Thirty of 'em fills out 2k points pretty quick. Of course, making 30 of 'em is another thing altogether. This one's done-ish.



And for kicks, an Ork Kommando who can infiltrate the Ultramarines with ease...

...as long as it's really dark and nobody smells him.
