Veteran Dakkaites and worshippers of the foul powers of Chaos, I'm in need of your wisdom.
As I told you before in another post, I'm expanding my Radical Ordo Xenos Inquisitor's retinue with a detachment of alien mercenaries (counting-as various types of henchmen).
Now, all is good with Kroots, Eldar Scouts, DE Witches and the like, but I'm having some problems with the other minor races. For example, I kitbashed IG and WHFB dwarves from a squat-looking Crusader (what did you say? there is no such thing as "Squats"? And why are GW employees knocking at my door, showing me their inquisitorial rosettes and dragging me away in chains?), a greenstuffed hooded WHFB Skaven as a Hrud, an even more greenstuffed Chaos Spawn as a Thyrrus, as well as a tyranid-derived Q'orl and assorted Ork Freeboterz and a Slaught banisher.
My main problem, at the moment, is with the Loxatl.

They are maybe one of the most iconical minor races of the 40K universe, and obviously deserve a model. How can I build one?
I was thinking along the line of using a converted WHFB lizardman warrior for body, tail and head (obviously shearing off the bone crest on the top) but I need good clawed limbs. What are your advices? Feel free to suggest a completely different approach to the matter. And, while we are speaking about that, what do you think it should count as? I was thinking something like a warrior acolyte with carapace or power armour, armed with storm bolter or flamer as the typical fletchette blaster, but I'm not so sure...

What is the Fear of Death? That we die, our work incomplete. What is the Joy of Life? To die, knowing our task is done

re clawed limbs - Cold Ones? Tyranid fore-limbs?

You were planning on modelling it as a biped holding a weapon in one or both 'hands'? Another option, given that it is an alien, would be a 4-legged creature with a weapon mounted on head. back or tail - that would give some nice visual variety against all the boring old bipeds

I'm thinking old metal hormogaunt legs.. maybe the newer ones would work as well but I'm unfamiliar with the models
