So about two weeks ago I finished my first guardsmen squad, and I have been meaning to put them up and finally got around to it.
What are your opinions? Do you consider them TTQ? All C&C welcome, you won't hurt my feelings, but please remember that I'm painting in hopes to have a decent looking army, not for a golden daemon. Also, I'm a slow painter, and I have tons to do before this army is even playable...I'm speed painting and cutting corners where I can.

normally i am not a fan of white armored IG, but these look very clean, and good. Kudos to ya for that.
I also am digging that snow basing that you used, and how its clinging to spots of their boots. Depending on how cold the area is where their fluff is based, i would also paint mud on their boots, beneath that snow.

+1
Another suggestion I would make is washing the white with maybe black to give it some depth so it doesn't look quite so flat

Thanks guys! I figured they were TTQ, but it seems some people on here have some very high standards...and I have considered trying to wash the armor plates, but I kind of like the crisp fresh look of the pure white. It kind of reminds me of stormtroopers from star wars

Don't wash the white with black - it will turn grey.
Just run a watered down shadow grey along the crevices of the white - this will it will stay crisp and 'fresh' whilst providing depth to the white.
at the moment its a bit harsh on the eyes, but other than that, good job!

Please note that I meant fresh in the literal sense of the word, and thanks for the tip!

The white looks good but to me they don't look finished. It's like you sprayed them white and just washed the slacks.
Maybe try painting the edge of the base black?

Other people have said the same thing, but I'm not really sure what to do, I'm kind of happy with them but maybe I could improve them and future squads somehow. And maybe, but I feel white goes with the snow a bit better.

Haha no, I just meant that I did not use it in this manner " doe, those armor plates look fresh!"
