I am working on a new chapter of my own design and working out the fluff for them. I will be posting pics of various characters and vehicles and some forum fluff links for these guys as I get them painted. Also I would like to personalise each marine and vehicle so as I post pics of new units you have the chance to help name them.

If your gonna name your sargents, name them off blade variants. Something like Sargent saber.

I will try and have a complete guide begining to end by monday on how to paint one of these guys.

Lov your paint scheme. The silver's shine isn't too bright or cheesey and the black and red go well. Nice freehand you got going on the shoulders.

You got a little mold line left on the back of the chainsword arm. Also drill the barrels on the boltguns, it makes them really stand out.

I like the freehand stylings, but the overall paintscheme doesn't really work. It looks like it's been sprayed black and then drybrushed with silver....... Needs some others colours on it imho

I fixed the mold lines on the sword and the left arm. I will post some pics of a few other marines I finished of the week end tommarow.

As promised a new brother marine who needs a name.

Your silver is very nice, very even and flat. Did you do it with metallic paint or a non metallic metallic scheme? Either way, how did you achieve such an even, subdued color?

I usualy do 2-3 coats of badab black after some grey primer. I then pick out the details with a mix of badab black and chaos black to make it deeper. Then very lightly dry brush with some bolt gun metal. Then add the scribblies and extra wargear. I like to have some marines darker than others since in my fluff their armor is coated in paint that gets darker in low light and lighter in bright light.

I've never thought of just drybrushing with the metallics. I like the idea. Gets the point across without making them look like a reject from the Player's Ball.

Indeed it does it gives the color a subdued but defined look.

I like the paint job it works well for a very strong Knight in thenight feel seems to fit the chapter name very well. good job.

Heres the new rhino I am almost done with. I got this guy off a local SM player who loved super glue way too much so I tried to work around that. It usta be dark angel green. I still have a few little things to get taken care of such as the inside of the treads and some of the old paint job bleeding through. Btw sry I thought I had an overhead pic to show the top. I will edit it in when monday rolls around.
