Alright, so I've been quite disappointed by the lack of melta gun selections in my marine boxes, and surprised by the large amount of flamers I have in my bits box right now.
The two guns look fairly similar, and I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with converting a flamer to a Melta Gun and willing to give any tips with the process. I believe I have everything ready to go to start making said conversions, but any advice would be most appreciated.
Just fiddled around with a spare flamer... Don't have any pics, but this isn't too complex.
Trim off the handle at the top (the only piece that juts up).
Trim off the igniter and the fuel tank.
Drill a small hole above the grip (the ridged area forward of where the tank normally is) and somewhere on the tip of the flamer (the part that's perforated). Manipulate a paperclip or other wire in those two holes.
I'll put a paint pic up soon.
