In general the lines are too clean for it to be truly Orky. You got a good start on this but the clean lines need to be obscured by bitz an' dakka ad deff. Also, it needs orky glyphs once painted.

I'm sorry, but this just looks like a plastic model kit someone haphazardly glued 40k bitz onto. The aesthetic doesn't fit 40k, and I'm not sure any amount of styrene plating added to it will work.

I think it might be best to chop this up and use it as bitz for other projects.

atm, it looks far to sleek, and looks like it might actually be able to fly. Maybe add a gretchin krew in a basket underneath, as the bombadiers

Still looks too much like "Airfix with random 40K parts", it needs more Orkification.

I'd consider trying a few of these things

1. make the wings bigger and less aerodynamic
2. put grots in the current engine exausts with appropriate guns
3. create oversized engines to sit over or under the wings
4. remove the plastic cockpit
5. turn the fuel tanks into silly looking bombs by adding appropriate fins to them
6. more rivets

I'm excited to see how it comes out.

The thing thing about any discussion concerning why orks did something usually ends with because they are orks, and noone seems to argue, or offer further questioning.

If I were you, I would cut the nose off behind the cockpit, add a new smaller blunt nose (maybe with a giant saw or something on it?) and cut a new more orky cockpit. I just think how it is now, the cockpit looks much too small for this scale. Also,, take a knife and take chunks out of the wing edges.

I love conversions like this. Can't wait to see it done!!

Add some Deff Dred buzz saws on it for extra killy-ness. And much more plating.

Honestly, I think you're going about this the wrong way. You're adding bits without changing the lines of the original model at all, so it continues to look like a sleek modern fighter with bits stuck on. Add a blocky cowling over a big, unnecessary turbine engine, or something like that, and I think it'll start fitting into the 40K aesthetic much better.

^^ This.

I'd suggest additionally removing the wings and adding your own stubbier ones, made of plasticard or old yard signs. Right now it's just too sleek and clean to be 40K, much less Orks.

This is the one I built to illustrate what they are talking about. Good luck. Doing things the "orky way" takes some practice.

Heres what I do when Im going to scratch build an Ork vehicle. Look at it, and then cut/break a big ass part off. The figure out how to rebuild it with the scrap you have laying around. Imagine that jet, took a missile or a couple AA shots and it crashed to the ground in a glorious wreck. Your jet looks like it was found in a parking lot with the keys in it and no one around. So cut a bunch of random "plates" and Im talking a bunch, and start over lapping and slapping them on.

Also, try to totally rebuild the nose on the jet, that would drastically change how it looks, thats where Id start, the nose
