On your game #4 versus Tony's CSM, I gotta say that I thought it'd be your easiest win, as I've totally stomped CSM with my DE. However, I agree with you on your mistakes and like you said, you're playing against dice too.

Heh, thanks man. That game 5 vs. Chaos was rough- he was a good player, but I didn't help matters at all with the way I played. Goes to show that even the 'old-school' lists can have some bite if you're not careful.

Heh, there were at least 8 Space Wolf players there that I specifically counted. I got to run the wolf gauntlet, just like Hulksmash ran the Guard gauntlet.

It was a fun tournament despite that though

Kudos on doing so well, particularly with your painting award. Any better pictures of yours and your friend's armies btw?

Also, one of the Space Wolf lists (Game 3/Jorge) you don't list that he has Long Fangs and I don't recall hearing about the Predator. The scouts may have some additional wargear also, as otherwise they'd struggle against vehicles (e.g. the ravager they charge)?

He DID have a squad of 6x longfangs (5x Missiles), I'll have to change that in the report.

As for the Predator, he shot it every turn, but it wasn't really a priority for me to do anything to. He shot a lot of stuff at me every turn, and I don't really remember exactly what it shot at all game- I think it ended up killing one of my Venoms, but... well... in the blur that is 6 games in 2 days (4 of them against Wolves), it all just kind of blends.

The pictures... I'll get some up soon. I'll be going to BoLSCON (Wargamescon) next weekend, and will have my FULL army done (the beasts weren't in this list since it was only 1850) but will be ready for the 2000 point BoLSGamescon. That's why I didn't take a ton of pictures!

As for CJ's pictures- I'll sit him down and make him take pictures. He's got a lot of really cool armies, fueled mostly by his conversions and heavy applications of Devlan Mud, but he needs to let people see his Blood Pact- for now take my word that they're really awesome :-p

I'll have another 7 (or maybe even 11, if I decide to cover the Mirror Match) reports up sometime after the next con, so keep a lookout

neiltj1: Heh, thanks man. I WILL say that it's not a conclusive report on how either of those units can actually do though- look out for my 7-game BoLSCON report (which I'm intending to write in the same manner) sometime next week for a further update on how awesome/unawesome both units are.

Ironically, I thought the Hellions would do better this tournament, but for my expectations, the Incubi pulled their weight in a far greater proportion to the Hellions. Though to be fair, both units did as well as I allowed them to- Hellions are just more difficult for me to use well I think.

Aw come on now people, don't be hating on the CSM. They are still really good! Ya' know Xaereth, I really want to play you in a friendly game now. That ridiculous round 5 was the most stressful game I've ever played... still fun though.
