Hi guys, I've decided to pull all my various dakka projects together to to form a blog, hopefully to motive me to get some more painting done rather than just vegetate all day.
I've found in the past that I can rarely bring myself to paint the same model twice, which presents a problem when I try to paint an army. However,I managed to come up with a story that ties my eclectic painting tastes together, so I can run a army list. I'll be playing these guys as GK (the majority of models I've done so far are GK anyway, so there shouldn't really be a problem). Anyway, enough of my wittering and here's the story and models;


When a ship and its crew are lost to the warp, they are believed to be gone forever, destroyed, but this is not always so.
Situated deep within the eye of terror there is a world known simply as “The destination” It is here that all the long lost ships end up, some may take millions of years to get there, some a few months, but either way, it is in this place that their journey will end.
For the most part, the crews will be long dead by the time the ships arrive, either killed and consumed by the beasts that stalk the warp, or starved to death by their ages long journey. But occasionally, a few make it to the destination alive, there they find it a landscape littered with the wrecks and rusted hulks of starships, alien and human alike, their girders and struts appearing to be like great bones of slain mythical creatures.
It is in these wrecks that the crews search for a means of survival, or a means of escape...

There is but one recorded incident of escape, a group of survivors, warriors mostly, managed to find an ancient, but serviceable ship. The ships name was the Endeavour, a pre-imperial military vessel from about M30, and it was on this that the band of survivors made their escape.
As they searched through the sprawling corridors of this ancient behemoth they found holds filled with long lost technologies, great walking mechanical warriors, much superior to any servitor construct, as well as other, darker things...
The ship had been inhabited earlier by a group of grey knights, some of the first of their order, lost due to a catastrophic failure of their warp engines. However, due to the fickle and mystical ways of the warp, their time there had been measured in countless millennia. The vast period of time spent had driven the knights mad, their faith and loyalty of the emperor had been the only thing that they could grasp onto during this period. These “knights” looked a far cry from what they used to when they first stepped off the soil of titan, so many years ago. Their armour had been repainted into leering faces, and showed millennia of hardship and rust. However, their loyalty to the Emperor is beyond question, the fervour they show in dismembering the Emperor’s enemies demonstrates that they will do their duty till death, however deranged they may be.
This band of warriors includes space marines lost before the Horus Heresy and after, guardsmen that have managed to endure, no matter the odds against, and the great mechanical constructs found within the hold of the Endeavour.
Together, they are known as “The Lost”....
