I've built most of a Hierotitan - haven't of course painted or anything, but here is the almost completed model minus some of the flash and gubbinz. I do, however, need to add scales to the left hand and that's where I was hoping someone on here would be able to help. Do you know of any models and/or cheap toys with a set of scales? I'm looking for what would look like the scales carried by the statue of justice.

As for the titan itself - most everything here is from the warsphinx kit. The cowl and shoulder pads are the Necrosphinx head. The staff is the banner that goes on the Howdah on the warsphinx as well as one of the spears glued together. The bottom of the staff is the alternate tail for the sphinx. The base was made from part of a movement tray and plasticard. The skull Is a replica giant eagle skull (plastic) and the bones are from a snap together skeleton kit I found for $3 at my local craft store.

I'd also like to hear your comments and/or concerns. The fluff describes these things as being BIG - I hope the scale is alright.

Not sure how much is given about their appearance in the fluff, but having a relatively small torso with such big, rounded limb bones and large hands/feet gives him kind of goofy proportions. Maybe the bird skull is what Eldar Wraithlords are hiding under those goofy windshield hats...

I personally think its to tall but thats me. The head looks really cool but way to big IMO. I also think the staff is way to thin. I can imagine that getting broke rather easily.

Now for the scales. If you can get some chain, they sell small stuff at micheals use that. I am thinking shields for mine, for the bottom pieces. and make the cross piece out of bits or sprue or pcard/tubing.
