Hello and thank you for checking out my blog!

I knew those FW armor sets wouldnt stay out of my hands for long, and after much thought and planning I decided to field them as Black Templars and not make a pre-heresy legion. Mainly this saves me money and lets me use my current set of tanks with the marines without and problems.

the plan is simple really...

Convert and kit bash the FW models with anything that will fit for the templars. Though most of it is just simple shoulder pads or brass pieces. Anyways...let me know what you think! I have a mix of 30, between MKII and up.

Very nice, Emperor's Champion! Love the brass etch stuff.

Quick question as I'm considering purchasing the Pre-Heresy armors. Do the chest pieces come in 2 pieces like the standard GW plastic, or are they 1 complete piece?

I'm asking cause I'm looking to do a True-Scale army and I prefer the 2 piece as it's easier to make them "deeper" in the chest by adding a spacer.

Semnos.

Thank you, I found the brass etch fairly easy to work with.

As far as the chest pieces, they come as a single piece.

Thanks, EC. That's what I thought, but thank you for the verification. Might still get them and perform the conversion another way.

Here is another quick update of what else I have been doing today.

Soon enough I will have the army list for these guys ready for view for all of you.

Fluff wise, I havent decided if I want to run them as if they had just been broken up into the second founding, or just run them as current M41 BT. High Marshal Sigismund does have a good ring to it...

Beautiful work EC. The combination of the upgrades, resin and brass really is seamless. Overall, so far, they look wholly individual whilst still retaining that cohesive feel, nice job.

Have you decided what livery to paint them in? Personally I think you should go with them as just having split from the IF, but that obviously presents the problem of not having much in the way of campaign badges.

Anyway I look forward to their progress.

Just a quick update with more to follow. I have already started working on painting up my Marshal, but now in the works is a beast of a terminator armored marshal. Here is a quick preview.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Tomorrow will have WIP paint pics up of the two Marshals. Also some other goodies such as GK brother captain and paladins to soon make their show here. Is anyone interested in fluff or back stories? I have tons to share about my Templars.

Just a quick WIP update on my two Marshals, still working out some fine details but I think in the end they will look pretty good. What do you all think about them?

BT uses the Codex Astartes as toilet paper. They’re an Imp Fist successor, recruit from multiple planets, and are known to be the largest Chapter in the galaxy. They’re on a constant Crusade, keeping it real for the Emperor and not bumming around like the other guys. They hate psykers and can’t ally with them. They’re basically an entire chapter of Chaplains. CC lunatics. What every Space Marine should aspire to be, if not trapped in a Matt Ward nightmare.

as much as the Templars annoy me on the tabletop, these are some damn good figures; but either put some helmets on those a-holes or pass 'em to me!

It is the body from the FW Huron model without head and arms. Very little work needed to be done to make it non Astral Claws.

It's been to long, and about due for some updates. Sadly there isn't to much done as my Time has been short and haven't worked on them as much as I wanted too. But either way I've decided to make this just a huge WIP for my Templars and not just about my FW pre heresy armor ones. Anyways here are some pictures, cause I know that's what everyone loves!

WIP of my new marshal. I wasn't too happy with my FW one and this guy is turning out great.

Getting some paint on him. I always loved the sword brethren models, BT I hardly use them so this is a great excuse to use the model.

Just kinda tossed him in there for the heck of it. By far one of my favorite terminator models and fits nicely for Templars.

Well, it has been a good while since the last time I posted any of my models, so I figured I might as well get some out there for everyone to see!

This stuff is absolutely lovely EC, Not often people spend so much time and money and effort into each mini and I think it pays off massively. I really like your marshal and all your forgeworld goodies, subbed and looking forwards to more. As for the fluff, sure put some up, always good to hear about black templars. =]

Thanks a lot! I try to make an effort to give each of my HQ models their own character. As much as I love the standard GW HQ models I perfer to make them myself. None of my armies use a standard HQ model, they have been converted or kit bashed.
