Thanks, I'm a little worried about how delicate the super sculpy is or isn't tbh. May reinforce it with some thin brass wire when it comes to me sculpting the interior detail.

Thank you, I wanted to include the Cryptus model, but as I'm sure you've tell, I like to add my take on things so no one else has the same mini too. Hopefully this is how it'll be in the end. Still not 100% on 40mm or small oval base yet...

Very cool, I like the black and white photo, it looks pretty seamless in that pic!

I've used super sculpy for quite a few nurgle projects, I find that tentacles need to be done is GS though as they are too brittle in sculpy.

Yours looks really nice, I have a tendency to burn mine

Thanks, it's a royal pain in the ass, but I'm happy so far.

Knightley wrote:Very cool, I like the black and white photo, it looks pretty seamless in that pic!

Yeah, it's why I did it, as sometimes the colours are too much for me and I can't see past them to figure out if it's working tbh. It helped restore faith in what I was doing at least.

Yeah, I'd planned on doing the tentacles in gs as it has more give, and I'm still worried about the resilience of super sculpy.

And how in the hell did you burn it? O.o

Lol, personally I wouldn't risk it, as the longer you cook something for, the more you change its chemical structure.

Oh for the love of Reznor...

In other news...

It's also back on its original oval base, as I felt even though it's going to be a Tyranid Prime in rules, that the oval base was more in keeping with the model. I've also done some work on the base for scenic value.

looks like a really nice conversion, I find a lot of the stealer minis seem a bit static. I remember the original Space Hulk ones, painting those was borrrrring.

Thanks!

Unfortunately I've still got some of those about the place...

...I like the spawn of Cryptus model, don't get me wrong, I just wanted to make it mine if that makes sense? I didn't really like the tyranid toe eruption it was perched on, and wanted something more neutral as planetary seeding won't have happened at the point of vanguard organisms being deployed. Hence this list only having the Broodlord, Lictors, Genestealer hybrids and spores in it.

Now I've got the reposition down, I think I'll return to the 'cyte tomorrow. Needs some love I think lol.

Nah, if we kill RW we'd not have anyone to laugh at/with

Yup, it's my second one of this model, the first I assembled basically as normal, then I finally committed myself to getting a second for converting purposes. So far so good lol.

Will be starting the Genestealer Hybrids in a few weeks time I think. Still not totally sure how I'm doing those guys, buy hey-ho..
