This is probably the first and biggest try at kitbashing and green stuffing(well milliputting) a model for me
so uuuh eek!

If you can tell its a ghazgull limbs with the torso of a lotr cave troll. Turns out that makes him pretty tall!
Hes suppose to be so hard that he doesnt need armour like 'lesser' warbosses, but I'm hoping too add some bullet wounds and blood(red, black, green?) on the torso to enforce that claim.

Hes very much still a WIP so any modeling tips and suggestions are very much welcome!

I like it, but I think the arms look a little disproportioned in comparison to the body, after all, Orks are described as having arms that drag the ground when they walk.

Other than that, it's pretty nice.

Innocence proves nothing.

Yeah the arms are a little short, but it is hardly noticable. Overall the idea is extremly creative, and it looks amazing. I cannot see any major gaps or mistakes, so nice job.

Really excited to see this painted up, awesome unique model. As for the blood I'd go red for the sake of standing out, tried dark green on my fantasy orks for a little and it was just hard to see. How cool is that guy gonna look in the back of a trukk.

looking at the boy'z arms next to this model, they actually look longer than his legs!
I think my warboss has stubby looking arms because they are bent, though if I'd have better green stuffing skills i'd bulk up the shoulders and extend the arms a lil

I've read stories of orks bleeding in battle(usually getting cut down with a chainsword tsk!) and I always get confused about the colour from all the different readings, but I do think a mucky red would suit my painting abilities

Interesting kitbash. I like it, overall. While the arms do seem a tad shorter than they might normally be, I'm not entirely sure that's a bad thing. Any chance of pictures from other angles? I think foreshortening in the head-on shots might be making things seem a tad worse than they are.

As for the blood, I'd suggest a a very dark, muddy red-black. Bright red blood always looks cartoonish, but red is what people expect, so it needs to at least be hinted at to make that instant association, hence the murky, near-black red.

It took me a embarassingly long time too find the macro option on my camera haha. Hopefully my picture taking skills are getting slightly better eek

I attempted to do some bionic cabling today, but I'm not really happy will it so I think I will pluck it off and trying again with thicker, bass guitar string.
Also tried some saggy skin lines and orky, worty, lumpy bits on his belly. Cant really see it in the pictures though(which may just be because my lack of putty skills!)

I love the conversion tbh, I've been kicking around a smaller idea of converting an ogryn body though I think this is the much better route.

Orks don't have a scaled proportion model especally one that big. (which the universe hasn't seen since gork and mork :p) So I don't see anything wrong, I think if anything the small head and odd limbs would fit the rapid orky growth.

The only advice I can gve you is don't sully it up with fresh red blood. An ork that big has seen a lot of scraps in his day, it will look magnificent if you try and sculpt some closed/scarred up bullet wounds and cuts.

Not much too report today, but I've decided to model the power/bioniky cables going into my warbosses back. I'm sort of happy that I was able to sort of sculpt that haha!

Also, something new in the works...

A teeny update today, but I thought I'd share it because I'm pleasantly surprised of my abilities to
sort of sculpt
(also from now on I'll condense more updates into one post so I this thread is less spammy whoopsie)

I really, really like this mate. Reminds me a little bit of a Rancor or a Garthok, can't put my finger on why.

Great paint job, very realistic tones!

I would wash that base though looks like he's standing in a sea of brown sugar or something.
