Looks like we took it to turn 7 by mistake. Very unventful battle as most of his army was on the left side of the board and he was perfectly willing to take shots at my lions in the forest, which kept getting killed even with cover and a 3+ save.
HE magic was useless, and diadem is overpowered in small games(you dont have many spells, so you can get an extra 2 dispel dice all the time). Shield of saphery was too short ranged to be of much use, and there werent much magic items in play at this point level for vauls. Extremely bad magic phases for me all round.
Archers were, as expected, overpriced and did mostly nothing, especially when shooting at long range, skirmish and with a forest.
Probably shouldnt have charged the skinks with the white lions.
Once agan, low
LD with no re-rolls most of the time was NOT as crippling as i expected...it seems surprisingly easy to pass
LD 6 tests without re-rolls on a
3d6 drop highest.
Terradon riders managing to instant kill the eagle was unexpected.
Skink priest being able to pivot and march 12 inches around my eagle was also unexpected.
