So I was initially planning on bringing my Tau to 'Ard Boyz this year, having converted/painted 9 Broadsides up this spring. But after seeing the Scenarios for the Prelims and how much Nightfight/DoW there is, its just a better idea to go with Mech Sisters instead. I brought the girls last year and won my prelims, so lets see if I can get a repeat. It'll be nice to get the girls out for a big tourney before the nerf beating officially hits too

Most of the list is a pretty standard Mech Sisters concept, Exorcists provide fire support, Immos and BSS squads advance to lay on the hurt. BSS squads that lose their ride get to objectives, Seraphim fill in holes and tie up enemy units with Book/SotM.
I originally took the Inquisitor just for the Hood, but decided to try out Divine Pronouncement to screw with enemy units. Laud Hailers are also included for the same reason (Rhinos), I Tank Shock a lot, and the extra Ld deduction should be nice.

Let me know what you guys think. All suggestions are welcome, but if you want me to add something, please suggest something to drop for it.

I know sister players in general like to mix the weapons in BS squads, but I don't. I'd rune 2 as HF/F and 2 as 2X Melta.
Eviscerators are terrible on Strength 3 models. Drop them, and get combi-weapons on your sister squads.

Eviscerators on Seraphim VSS aren't bad at all. Throw in Hand of the Emperor and its essentially a S8 chainfist.

As for mixed weapons in the BSS squads, I go HF/melta for a couple reasons. First off, having less specialized squads eliminates target priority problems (Mech opponents are going to focus on the melta only squads, horde/infantry armies are going to focus on the flamer only squads), so my opponents will have to kill 4 rhinos to stop all the meltas, rather than just kill 2. Second, Sisters Rhinos only have 1 firepoint, so I can only fire 1 melta/flamer out of the top, leaving the other unused in drivebys. Also a minor point, going with more specialized squads brings less Heavy flamers, which is one of the solid advantages BSS squads have.

I... I love this list. Its not the spammy bs I've become so used to seeing. It's balanced and covers all of its bases. Powerful psychic defence, along with a leadership abuse power (which I assume laud hailers help) for stuff like nob bikers. A goodly number of rhino chassis, although you should be prepared for serious losses to a good alpha strike. A bunch of meltas and flamers everywhere. A decent, speedy CC threat. All in all, I love it.

Searchlights on some rhinos to let those exorcists work during night fight would be sweet.

One question, btw. Doesn't an inquisitor lord HAVE to have a retinue of at least 3 duders?

Yeah, the lord needs at least a retinue of three.

Otherwise I quite like it. Don't forget to take some searchlights.

Whoops, forgot about that. I'll drop a Celestian squad, add in a few warriors w/ meltas + rhino for his ret and see where I am points wise then. I'll lose an Immy, but should save some points and possibly put Laud Hailers on the rest of the transports.

Lost 1 faith point, 1 TL Heavy flamer. Gained a melta, a couple power weapons, some searchlights, and 4 more Laud Hailers. As always with Sisters, once I get the enemy out of their metal boxes, things should be dandy.

Looks really good. I would see if you can ditch some points from laud hailers for a Eviscerator for your canoness. She's in a retinue and a S3 PW really isn't going to do anything for you. A S6/S8 Chainfist on the other hand...

Ya, I've never been super impressed with Canoness in general, so I generally just try to keep em cheap (the PW on the Inq and her are just because I had some spare points). Shes mainly a faith battery with an extra Melta. I might change the loadout after some playtesting in the next couple weeks. Also theres the WYSIWYG problem, my Canoness has a Blessed/Power weapon.

I have another option as well, I could switch out the Laud Hailers on the Immolators for Holy Promethium. It would make Immys more dangerous as a whole, but make them less dangerous once I get a weapon destroyed on them. The current setup allows them to still be a Tank Shock weapon after the TL Heavy Flamer gets blown off.

I can totally respect that. I use mine a bit more aggressively. Yeah, give it a shot. I would stay LH rather than Holy Pro. Shaken, WD will make LH a much better upgrade. Gives you something to do on the off turns.
