Hi, I got a little problem. I bought some green stuff, took it all out and mixed the blue and yellow, and now its hardened, I'm currently soaking it in HOT water, but is their really any way to soften it?

When you mix it you should plan to use it right away. That may have been your problem.

Hmmm besides soaking it in hot water there isnt much you can do. It is supposed to harden and then stay that way.

I don't think there is a way to soften it again after it's cured. Just don't mix up too much of it next time I guess. Any leftovers can also be easily turned into rubble for bases as well if you finish sculpting and find you have some already mixed leftover and don't want to waste it.

You mixed it all? You're boned, guy. Once that stuff hardens it's hardened forever.
You only mix what you need at the moment. The rest you keep in the tube/wrapper/whatever for later.

1. Only mix what you need
2. GW just buys it from Kneadatite and repackages it. Buy it from Kneadatite and you get 5x the amount for almost the same price
3. GS goes through a chemical reaction when it gets hard. There is no going back.
4. After mixing it, while it is still soft, put it in the freezer to keep it. It will get hard in there, but as it warms up it will be soft again (until finally curing).

Could have done worse, 8 GBP in canada, or an extortionate 11 in australia... and for some insane reason, the sinking USD still equates to near 6GBP.... *sigh*

Let me get this straight, you bought a packet, mixed it all and kept in a drawer expecting to use it later. Why do you think it is sold as a two part mixture? It's not silly putty, once mixed the chemical reaction begins, and when it's set it's solid, that's why it's used to make models for casting. To store it, you don't mix it.

So I read this and I thought, "oh this HAS to be a joke" I look over at my wife and ask: "ok babe I sell you a two part epoxy putty for gap filling and sculpting and stuff what do you do?"
"mix it"
"all of it"
"if it's a big job"
"what if you only need a little"
"store the rest"
"to use later?"
"yes"
*facepalm*
I now have to pretend that she hasn't seen me using GS for over two years.
OP I just want you to know you aren't alone. Chalk it up as a loss and buy kneadite for about 6-8 quid for the bars which are much better than ribbons. But the mix ratio is not 1:1 kneadite literature for the bars says 1:1.5 for yellow.

After mixing and before it's set, you can use hot water to make it more pliable and cold water to firm it up.

What harm can it do to find out? It's a question that left bruises down the centuries, even more than "It can't hurt if I only take one" and "It's all right if you only do it standing up." Terry Pratchett, Making Money
"Can a magician kill a man by magic?" Lord Wellington asked Strange. Strange frowned. He seemed to dislike the question. "I suppose a magician might," he admitted, "but a gentleman never could." Susanna Clarke Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell

I don't like the strips because it starts to react along the join
Like Nectarprime (?) said, just mix enough up for what you will use in a session
It is in my experience better to mix up not enough, as you can quickly knead together some more if required.
I pity your aching fingers doing a whole strip in one go.
