Your painting is impressive. I definitely like it. You need to drill your barrel though! It's a great simple touch that adds a lot to a model.

Great wrk buddy, really like the skin tones and the hard edge highlights.. Dont worry about drilling out barrels bud that's a minor detail and not worth sweating over most important thing is enjoying and being proud of what you've produced so far which is cracking work.

Also, can I ask for some advice please. Its my birthday on Wednesday so my wife to be is giving me some money to get a special model from GW. Now I almost like putting the models together as much as painting them so I was thinking either a Baneblade, Strom Raven or a Valkyrie? Or maybe a dreadnaught and something smaller depending on my budget. What do you guys think?

The frost effect is really awesome. Is it a drybrush of white?

Yeah I wanted the ground to look frosty more than snowy so I painted the base shadow grey, devlan mud wash and then drybrushed space wolves grey and then skull white. For the model itself i just hard line highlighted the armour plates with a 50/50 mix of shadow grey and space wolves grey and then very lightly drybrushed skull white over the model, especially the bottom half.

Cheers bullyboy but Im kind of impatient. There is some excellent things on Forge World but once I have a bit cash it burns a hole in my pocket and I want to get straight out to buy stuff rather than wait for stuff to be delivered!

I think Im going to go with the Valkyrie or a Land Raider, I want to have a go at something with an interior to paint and I dont think the Baneblade has that. I dont really like the Storm Raven, it seems a bit bulky to be an orbital drop ship type of craft so now the options are a Valkyrie or a Land Raider.
