Hey all you fellow 40k fans, well as the title suggests I have some questions regarding space marines scouts and it has nothing to do with there stats or game play its purlely fluff related. Ok what I want to know is do you think space marine scout can become infected with a disease like for instance the Zombie Pague created by nurgle. I have been thinking over this for sometime I am thinking perhaps yes and here are my reasons why:

1. They haven't yet recieved the final organ the Black carapace therefore aren't protected by power armour.
2. There implanted organs are still new and so haven't yet fully adapted (well I think thats right) therefore they have a higher risk of infection

These are the two reasons I could come up with so far but is there anyone out there that aggree or disagree with what I have put forward. The main reason why I am asking is I have been putting together a story about a new squad of inducted space marine scouts (Chapter TBD) who are fighting on a planet that has fallen victim to the Zombie Plague and who end up cut off and caught in an heavliy infected hive city. The details are still being ironed out and the question above is one of them.

Cheers

If normal marines can be affected, scouts can too. Scout armor isn't environmentally sealed anyway.

Marines can be affected by a plague concocted by Nurgle, so obviously Scouts can as well.

Yeah marines aren't immune to all diseases they are just highly resistant. Scouts would likely be more vulnerable though.

So what I am thinking is a scout who some how was bitten by a zombie infected by the Zombe pague created by nurgle they would soon die and come back as one of the undead. There resistance wouldn't be as higher as a full fledge space marine, what my concern was that they could become one of the undead on die from being infected.

Would anyone think that if it was a scout that the possibility was there.

Most Nurgle zombie plagues don't need you to be bitten the disease can be airborne or in the water, but if you die in the area even without being bitten there is a chance you'll come back. A Soul Drinker get shot by a turret on a world infected by a nurgle plague and still came back a zombie.

No problem. Some say BL is not canon, but if it has nothing to refute it I say go with it.
