@graven - I fully agree, having bought the resin base it feels a bit weird covering it so had to try and get the balance right. Hopefully it will be pulled off

@EDC - thank you very much. There are bits I would like to tweak, but I am very pleased with how it came out

That's pretty nifty. The flight stand is expertly disguised. Also, the white on the wings is really, really clean. How did you do that?

@Josh - the wing detailing was done by priming it all black, then masking everything off that was meant to stay black and then used a Tamiya ultra fine white primer to do a graduated white in the same way I would imagine you would do Zenithal priming.

And things move on a little (there's also some metalwork started, but that didn't seem worthy of a photo). So here are the two weapons options I placed. They are magnetised, but tbh, after priming they are a snug fit so probably not necessary

Huh. I didn't think what I had done was more than normal having done it for the first time on this model. It was a chore, but as I said I thought that was me just learning a new skill

Cheers Guildenstern. I actually used the new GW gem paints on them. It means that all my lenses will be red, green or blue, but it's a much better result than if I tried doing it with traditional highlighting methods

Did you actually mean to type "Pooh" or was there meant to be an O there? lol.

Nephilim is coming along nicely. I may invest in another one for a Dark Talon, now that the rift cannon actually does more than ruffle your target's hair! Naturally, I'll be leaving all the silly shriney bits off.
