Looking good man. I think there may be a little too much wash on the armor, and are you gonna do anything more with the swords?

Looks good, all I would say is that the paint is a liiittle streaky.

Dwarves-about 2000 points, most unpainted. Kill me now.

Yes, I play Dwarfs. Yes, I have a hoard of treasure and live in a mountain. And yes, I am shorter than nearly all of you, STOP TEASING ME!!!

Your right, the wash was over the top.

What I'd done was take some old Blue Ink, and mix it with Badab Black and water in more or less equal parts. However i felt that this didnt give the effect i was after, so I rushed blindly ahead with straight Blue Ink.... baaaad move methinks :p

And yh, the paint is a bit streaky and blotchy, but thats mainly due to the ink.

Thanks for the comments

P.s. The swords... I've tried a couple of things for them, but nothing looks light. Can you suggest something??

In regards to the swords, with my space wolves frost and force weapons i blend enchanted blue, through ice blue, with final highlights done by adding skull white into the mix. I use the same method with power weapons but instead use the blues as a glaze over a metal basecoat, to give the effect that the sword is still made of metal.
There a plenty of tutorials for specifically painting grey knight weapons though, Google is your friend. I hope this helps.

when you use coloured washes over silver you have to use them really, really sparingly, since they come up strong as hell on such a bright surface. your best bet is to use several thin applications - it's much easier to add another thin coat of wash than it is to undo an overzealous heavy one, which usually means having to start over from your silver basecoat.

Did you know? The Reach belongs to the Forsworn.
