(hope this is the right place, if not, please move somewhere more suitable)
Anyone else had a problem with these guys?
I ordered a Land Raider from Amazon on Monday through them. I paid for expedited shipping. I emailed them Wednesday asking when it would ship, I received a response yesterday (Thursday) saying it had shipped that morning and I would receive confirmation soon. Today is Friday, I have not received confirmation or a tracking number. Did they lie to me?
I'm used to things bought through Amazon being shipped the same day or next, which is why I paid extra for expedited shipping. I kinda ticked that they offer faster shipping, but take a week to pack it up and send it out.
Am I overreacting?

No, if it was in stock it should have been sent and with you by now if that's what you paid for.
I would be seeking a refund of the extra P&P at the very least.

FRP is exactly like that.
3 out of 4 purchases of mine have ended up in over 50 bucks in "Store credit".
Great selection, but you have to call ahead and ask them if they have the stuff before you purchase anything from them.
Thier Customer service is so-so, and thier selection doesn't reflect the fact that they do not keep thier stock full of the stuff they advertise.

Ok, thanks guys, will be calling them tonight and hopefully be having some words with a supervisor. That's a really poor way to run a company. Automatically Appended Next Post: Just got an email with a tracking number. It doesn't come up in the USPS system, so that means it has not been scanned yet. Which means they just shipped it, after I was told it shipped yesterday morning.
Even small lies like this really make me distrust a company. While I am happy with the price, I am not happy about being lied to.

Ive used FRp before, and they are ok...but I must say, TheWarStore.com is really superior, and they are my first choice for gaming stuff outside of ebay.
Also FRP tends to get a little happy with the shipping costs, TWS is $5.95 for all orders, regardless of size.

Guess what? The tracking number still doesn't come up, and Amazon still says it has not shipped. I don't understand the point of lying to customers over such trivial things, all it does is cost them business!

I use their site to browse a lot. They tend to be good for having a pic for products, and a pretty deep range of items. However, I rarely order from them. TheWarStore is closer (less shipping time), tends to have better prices, and much better service.

Last Remaining Whole C'Tan

I've ordered from FRP 3 times.
The first time a mini that was in stock was actually not in stock, which I didn't discover until I called and asked about it 2 weeks after ordering, when it still hadn't arrived. I had ordered about 20 things, and they hadn't shipped anything on my order, and it appears they never would have until I called and asked them to cancel the out of stock mini about a month and a half later, after waiting for a backorder on something that was in stock to begin with. The guy was completely indifferent when I called both times, and I decided they were disreputable and that I'd avoid them in the future.
The second time, I ordered some Zieterdes rock compound from them after not being able to find it anywhere else despite much searching. It was in stock on the site, and they also had some things on sale, so I got some CNC Workshop terrain and a Pantier 80 carousel. I ordered expecting delays and problems, but there were no delays, no dramas, and everything came right on time. The "new" Pantier 80 carousel had a small piece of wrapping paper stuck to it. I opened it, everything was in there there and unopened (the small parts were still in sealed packets), so I assumed good faith and that someone had returned it. I was pleased by the CNC workshop stuff - The first time I got CNC workshop stuff was direct from AUS, it was full price plus expensive shipping and it took 2 months to show up here. FRP had it here in about a week for 40% off with normal US shipping costs.
The last time I ordered from them, among other things, I got a Battlefield in a Box of Necron style crystals ( nice kit, btw). It showed as in stock, but of course a week later I get an update stating that it wasn't actually in stock. I email them asking them to cancel the entire order. The next day, I get a shipping notice, and the day after that, an email stating they found it and shipped it. They also tossed in a small miscast Armorcast bomb.
So, at this point, I'm unlikely to order from FRP again, with the sole exception of CNC workshop terrain, which I'm still working on. If I do order from them because no one else has it or a sale is irresistible, I will simply expect it to have some problem and potentially not be in stock as a cost of doing business with them, and they will be my last resort when the Warstore, Ebay, etc have all been exhausted. Good prices, unreliably stock levels on the site, indifferent customer service.

My only real experience was years ago, but I was very impressed back then. I got my Sabol bag from FRP Games and the service was superb. They greatly underestimated the shipping costs and I alerted them to it before placing my order, but they decided to honour the listed cost even though they probably lost money on my order.

Well, it is on the way, and it will arrive just in time to meet Amazon's window of when shipping is acceptable.
But, it was not shipped on the day that they told it was. And I still feel as though paying for premium shipping was a giant waste. Will not be ordering anything from FRP again. Even though it was not a huge issue, there are many other companies out there that don't have to cover their mistakes with little white lies, and I feel they are more deserving of my money.

I have looked at their site aplenty as I mulled over picking up some of their Kerplow square cornered dice, as they seem to be the only place that actually carries them.
Does anyone know of another place that carries 12mm Kerplow dice?

I gave them a 1 star rating, which included the additional comment: "merchandise never arrived" through amazon, for a book and a little box of 16mm dice that I had ordered from them, after waiting two weeks past the delivery date. They knew that the post sent it back to them after they messed up my mailing address, but still wanted feedback, after fifteen minutes I had recieved an email stating they wanted to fix the issue, and they sent my stuff out the next day, in which was expidited at their expense. The company wanted me to revise my rating but I told them I would not, and if they wanted a higher rating I would have to do business with them again.
I have not done business with them since. Automatically Appended Next Post: Dorksim wrote:I have looked at their site aplenty as I mulled over picking up some of their Kerplow square cornered dice, as they seem to be the only place that actually carries them.
