I currently have army around 1000 points and am wanting to expand it to 1500-2000 and wanted so input on how my idea sound to you.

I run a biker list with a captain making them troop choices, to add more fury to this army I am thinking of two dreadnoughts in drop pods which will drop behind enemy lines to kill tanks and what else is there, also a third drop pod with a tactical squad will be added so as to make sure both dreads land first turn then when ever the last pod hits the field I'll make sure its near a objective so as to control or contest.

I also think a land raider with Assault Terminators would good as it will be a target to draw attention and if ignored will cause good damage.

Well? Thoughts?

Here is my army that does exactly that except it doesnt run bikes. It has everything you said you wanted minus the bikes. But gets twin-linked goodness that can't be ignored.

Cool looking army, however I just love my bike so will most likely stick with them.

When I get home tonight I'll look at my codex and help make you a biker army with the things you mentioned. I have a friend who played a Biker Army with a land raider and vulcan if your intrested in that type of army.
