THE DAWN BEARERS

I'd love to hear your input and ideas!

First picture are of the troops I HAVE finished painting.

Here's one of fave's, "The Demon Mask" and "The Old Man"

Here's another melta. He's not done paint wise yet. Then the troops that are in the stage before, and the unprimed.

Here's the heavy weapons guys and the Dev. Srgt. who has a magnetic hand that I could not find at the time. (I have since found both the Plas Pistol and the Bolt Pistol)

Here are the assault marines.

Veteran Sternguard. These guys are that seen is all, and carry the marks. Also, they have magnets in their bolters so I can clip on combi-meltas.

These are my 'Death Star' Vanguard.... they cost 425... I don't use them... but i wanted to make them. Look for the twin thunderhammer and my 'Shrike'.

Here are the Land Speeders. The Dice with the chapter symbol. And Chapter Master Uriel.

First is a bit blurry, but I wanted to show the scale. These are the rest of the unprimed troops.

Wow I'm not going to lie, when I read DIY SM Chapter, I thought "This'll be another load of " but these are some thing else, I'm clearing following this.

I'm afraid my input and suggestion is "lovely, keep going and posting"

Where'd you get all these ideas? These conversions are really well done, they look professional!

Here are my Assault Termies, My "Lysander", and Librarian in Terminator armor. I'm going to chain beheaded deamons to him eventually.

I don't think that they are that great! But, if I had to attribute my 'skill' to anything, it would be Scott Brandt, so we would consider our mentor.

Okay, now here is my 'vulcanoid'... he's a WIP... a lot of work.... plus I think I lost his flame thrower!

I like the concept all around but I wonder if the mutated/demonic enhances marines are maybe a little overboard and past the concept of redemption. So maybe a little fluff plot hole but the total look of the army is looking great so far.

Volcanoid's hat reminds me of "Jeepers Kreepers" and works with that spear of spirital awesome.

Very cool design and a real good balance between chaos and loyalist. I think the space wolves components really help to give them that border between evil and good so that they just look a little wild.

This looks good keep on going.

Wow these are wonderful. I love how you are using bits from CSM and All the different SM chapters. It really gives your army a unique look and character. And the poses and different units. You have really put alot of thought into the look and feel of each unit. Again wonderful work. The is gonna look epic when fully painted.

Well, I tried not to use too many of the possessed bits, but the pieces are in there (though I did use one of the deamon heads as a decorative helmet) and I think no one is beyond one last chance! Haha.

As for the based, I think I'm going do grass and dirt. I'm going to test whether I like brown grass or green grass better.

Also, the blue color of the sky is due to Rayleigh scattering. As light moves through the atmosphere, most of the longer wavelengths pass straight through. Little of the red, orange and yellow light is affected by the air.

However, much of the shorter wavelength light is absorbed by the gas molecules. The absorbed blue light is then radiated in different directions. It gets scattered all around the sky. Whichever direction you look, some of this scattered blue light reaches you. Since you see the blue light from everywhere overhead, the sky looks blue.

As you look closer to the horizon, the sky appears much paler in color. To reach you, the scattered blue light must pass through more air. Some of it gets scattered away again in other directions. Less blue light reaches your eyes. The color of the sky near the horizon appears paler or white.

OR.... it reflects the OCEAN.... DUH....

And knowledge is power.

Here's the newest model I've made. My roommate is starting a Greyknight army of Paladins and he wanted me to add some of my flair.

Here is my WIP Dread Knight. Of course, with the amount of parts I have left over, I could make another dread knight. I'm still adding mechanical bitz to make it looked semi savaged, but I've been working for a bit, need a break and got so excited I had to post this.

My first reaction was; hey these look so familiar Idk why. But then it hit me! My buddy I play with has the exact same scheme with his loyalist marines : THE ANGELIC WINGS!
