Hey people,

So basically i'm working on this Nurgle Daemon and would love to hear any suggestions you have, especially relating to what colour I should paint scabby armor bits (yeah thats my best description of the bits i'm talking about) because I really can't make my mind up!

Sorry the pictures aren't great

scabby should be purplish/blueish black and have a rough texture to it. find something with the right texture and glue it on! you are off to a really good start though.

and should have lots of icky effects! like this guy: not sure how he made the ickyness but I would try a hot glue gun and play around w/ it.

see he even has fungus growing on his toes.

I'm definitely going for a rusty metal effect on the weapon and I love the stringy gore effect on that greater daemon, I may have to try something like that, anybody know exactly how its done? If not I will play about with a hot glue gun like you said

I really would like to know what that guy used actually. I would try the vallejo water effects but make sure you get the gel. and play with it. If you want to get something fancy.

The best way to create rust is by using rust powders or pigments. They look so much more real than painting rust on.

Underneath your painting desk

That was seriously disgusting. Wow. But anyway on your guy, I would suggest a moldy greenish color. Dark green. Other than that nice job so far, I look forward to seeing the end result!

I was checking out more terrain stuff today and just to let you know, I think the best way of doing that icky stuff is water effects (preferably gel) and fishing line. You glue the fishing line on where you want those strands to form, just cut a bunch and superglue them on. They you form the water effects like an icicle around it. And if you want some color to it you need to get inks.

Cheers!
