Mine were similar when I first started with nids, they'll quickly get better as you paint them.

Per the rules of the "Showcase", miniatures need to have their bases finished too.

Not sure quite how to handle this one, since the OP's mini does not have a finished base, but the subsequent pictures do!

Yeah, let's go with that one!

Besides, there are a lot of very nice finished 'showcase' Tyranids in here - it would be a shame to nuke them!

Tyranid Showcase, you say? Alrighty, I'll bite. All I've really done are my Tervigons, which I've built 7 of the buggers using my regular method.
