Here are a few pic's of my newly completed members in my BA army. Please let me know of anything I can do to improve. Also, my HQ's power sword is just a test. What do you think? I wanted to go for a red/orange black glow, but I ended up with a lava like fire looking sword...Idk, it's kinda cool but I'm just not too sure on it. PLEASE especially, let me know about the power sword. Any tips on a better, redish one would be appreciated. Thanks.

Now this next guy has my first attempt at a power sword. I did regular blue just because I thought I would keep it original, but I would so much rather do a more darker red/orange. Anyways, let me know what you think.

Looks pretty good for a first attempt. I might say to try an ogryn flesh or devlan mud wash on the skin. You'll also want too experiment with the consistency of your paint. Try watering it down a bit, and wash your brush when it starts getting think. On the sword, it looks pretty good. I might say to highlight the edges of the sword with orange to yellow and maybe giving it a coat of gloss varnish.

Keep at it!

Edit: I actually like the blue power sword more. You already have a lot of warm colors with the red. The blue gives a bit of contrast.

Its hard to judge a paint job when taken with flash photography. The flash tends to bring out the worst in models. Try taking a picture outside on a bright day if possible. Otherwise it looks like a good start. I think the armor could use some highlights.
