haven't done a video batrep in a dog's age, and decided to make another one.

Wait... NO DARK ELDAR?!?!?!?! WTF homes....

Good rep, the music was a little much... all lord of the rings style. Those Raven Guard looked sick tho. Well done!

I have armies other than Dark Eldar...I even manage to paint and play with them on occasion Also - there are some DE bits used on those RG, so that counts, right?

The True Kin will probably be getting a photo batrep sometime early next month - I've blocked off time for a tournament and I'm going to make it happen.

Well I'm shocked to be honest Who knew?

Thats good to hear though; I learn much when you pop up a DE rep. Mostly what not to do.... haha JK! I do like your vid rep tho; if you cut the music out and made it more broad and less closeups (even if your models look neat) I'd enjoy em more. I like to be able to follow battles and not have to read subtitles... but others may disagree!

I actually enjoyed that report, and I don't normally say that of video batreps. I like that you managed to win with a fairly thematic list as well, although I find it incredibly ironic that you were the one outnumbering the Orcs.

Out of curiosity, why did some members of your Assault Squads have old-school jump packs?

Music really didn't do it for you, huh? Ah well, we try, we try
The closeups vs. wide shots is an interesting point, as usually I have issues with video batreps for being so far away I can't tell what's going on. I'll try to work a few more wide shots into the next one I do though, you may be right that I went overboard with the tight shots - but with 80% of the fight happening in about 15% of the board I think I became focused on the small moments moreso than the sweep.

Thanks! It is a thematic list, and it generally does...well...about 50/50. You got to see it at its best because it won first turn. If it doesn't get first turn, or has initiative seized, things can get a little bit more...challenging for the list. It has some weaknesses (probably I should get Fists on the Sergeants for instance, this army is not fond of too many MCs) but I have a lot of fun with it in friendly play though.

Mostly Vets and Sergeants have the old school packs (the Vets are holdovers from when an honor guard with Shrike was a good idea...derp...) - it's the same reason basically the entire army wears the Corvus helmets - the RG have a lot of older gear when compared to other chapters, and consequently would have old jetpacks as well, in my view. Plus, I think the old ones look awesome, they're a threat to foes of the Imperium and any passing birds

@Config - thanks! I suspect I'll manage a few more batreps with the coming of winter - it's a little easier to convince people to stay inside for a few hours instead of going to the beach. At least with all the rain lately it hasn't been too hard

@Erudog - I'm just gald someone liked the music. Thank you.

@Rhodes - thanks, it's nice to bust out more of my armies than just my DE sometimes.
