Subject: Malifaux drawings: Ophelia what ifs? And alternative models for Bayou Gremlins?

I have never scrolled down low enough to realise there was this section to Dakka Dakka! So yeah one is: Any good alternatives for Bayou Gremlins? I dont want my gunline to all look alike; was thinking gretchin pack + hats?
Second off: Ever wonder what would have happened if it wasn't the Ortega's who the LaCroix first met? I did.
And because of the guys at the Malifaux forums, I ended up drawing these:
These were more suggestions from others, so I just threw in a pig to represent one of their faction models, and kept with the theme of no eyes showing for fun, rather than the Justice where I had incorporated a pig to deal with a huge sword not being viable to carry by Ophelia.
No prizes for guessing who is who, though someone suggested that the Justice LaCroix should be an Avatar form; what do you guys think would be a good Avatar form for Ophelia? The only name I've come up with so far is Avatar of Tenacity, given her role in Malifaux

As I'm looking as Ophelia for my first crew, those pictures are awesome and really capture the style of her original art very well.
As far at using gobbos for gremlins, not sure how well it would work to mix the two. While similar in theme, they've got a very different style, most notably in gobbos' giant noses to gremlins' noselessness. Not actually gotten any Malifaux yet so I cant speak on how the scale matches either. There are what, four different bayou gremlins? That's a decent place to start and I think you'd be better off doing reposes, arm swaps and/or hat swaps to them to get the added variety.

The young laCroix also works as a good stand in for different gremlins (as you get 3 of them). You'll rarely need more than 6 anyways as the gremlins main job is to be the raw material for the Skeeter/Stuff piglet factory!
Scale wise, WH hands and arms are a lot bigger than there Malifaux equivalents. My firned lost the flimsy arm that came with the banjo gremlin so replaced it with a peg arm! All hail Peggamum!

Oh, you might try looking at the Privateer Press Gobbers. Those are probably closer to gremlins than GW goblins and grots, though still not quite as exaggerated of facial expressions.

I did intend to cut off the gretchin noses along with putting hats on them ;3 But yeah not really seen much suitable still!

I use the young LaCroix with Ophelia already, she's my crew leader. I field about 12 Bayou Gremlins, and I don't use Som'er because OPHELIA, and I don't use pigs because she can't use them~ Even a pigapult would have had to use Pere

Those drawings are GREAT! You really captured the feel of both Ophilia and the other masters, well done. The wings on the Collette pig rock!
