as the title says I can't get onto bartertown, and was wondering if I am the only one? this is troubling as I need to complete a trade and without access to the site, I can't get the address to send to.

Regardless whether I'm logging in from work, home, my wife's work, or my mom's place, I have not had any problems getting on BTown after the recent outage caused by the hosting company.

It just worked for me but it's been hit or miss all weekend. I've seen it go down for at least a half hour (usually I just try a few hours later in the day if that is the case) to a few minutes.

I was on, composing a PM to somebody I shipped to in Canada, because they were expected to pay $65 in (Word Dakka Mods don't like us to use as a pejorative...) government fees that the UPS store failed to inform me of. I had just finished the PM and hit the submit button when it went down on me, and so I can't get on, so I don't know if the damn PM got sent. Automatically Appended Next Post: Well, I was finally able to get back on Bartertown and send a PM to the person I am dealing with. I've had lots of trouble with the internet in general lately, getting kicked off without warning, pages loading slow (I mean BOLS slow, and BOLS is occasionally even slower than usual, if you can believe that.) It's probably more government interference.

Well, I had issues on Sunday with occasional down-time. Don't know what's causing it.
I suggest a measure I always use, regardless of the site I'm using: Afer writing your message, do a quick highlight/copy before hitting "send," just in case.

Hey Erik, just a heads up-I got a "virus blocked" message from avast when I went on Bartertown just now. It appears there may be some kind of virus/worm/malware being attached to your site. Thought you'd want to know and check it out.

I was offline all last night watching the World Series game 6, but I tried to get on as soon as I saw your messages.
I got in from work with no problem. Only the very slightest delay which is hardly even worth mentioning.

Ya I've had issues today also. Yesterday, the firewall at my work blocked it due to "suspicious activity". But none of the antivirus programs on my computers have seen anything.

The site's up and down sporadically again (still, for some of us).
I received word that the site owner (Adam) is aware of it. Typically, that means he's going to get to it ASAP... like, when he gets home from work. lol
Apparently, it's an issue with our hosting site. I believe he may be heading down there to work over the CEO. lol
