Well, it would appear that I am finally getting to record my army log! I will post links below the images within the gallery so you can zoom in. I will be painting and assembling custom space marines and Rogue Trader marines! I will also edit this first post now and then, mainly to show what i am working on that day.

I started this army (The Green Scorpians) in 2006, when I also started this "Warhammer" hobby. The first time I stepped into my local gaming store, I didn't know what to think. I bought a single Battle for Maccragge Space Marine for $0.25, and a Scorpion Green. I went home and painted this marine up. It was only when I started to paint this marine that I got excited!

I do know the proper spelling of scorpion, but when I originally created my army name, I mispelled it. I've decided to stick with the mispelled name, and I might even make some fluff about it! lol... fluff...

The first marine on the far left was the very first space marine i ever painted, and with a toothpick at that! The second marine was when I got into more detail. The third marine is actually... Wait for it... A female space marine! Let the flamming begin! I didn't know at the time (in maybe 2009) that in the current fluff that female marines were impossible to create from the current gene seed stocks. The fourth marine I did maybe a month or two ago for a tournament, and last but not least, probably one of my favourite models that I never go into battle without! A Rogue Trader dreadnought!

Today im creating bases for my army that I will resin cast.

I built them on thin plasticard, that i will cast with it. So when I assemble them to the bases, i can cut out a few squares and replace them with a panel, dirt or anything that will help to make the model stand out!

Now onto the models. These are quick snipets, so the pics are not so good, its just to give you an idea on what I will be working on.

A metal (lead) thunderhawk! I picked it up off of ebay partially assembled, for only $400! 200 for shipping though... my jaw hit the floor when i won the bid! I will take more pics later.

Metal Thunderhawk?

Yes! it weighs about 35 pounds, and is completely made of lead. Only 500 were ever made. 250 in the United States, and 250 in the United Kingdom! Its about 4 inches smaller in every aspect compared the the more recent Forge world thunderhawk.

I really want to start work on this land raider, magnetising and pinning the doors and hatches for movement, as well as resin casting new side turrets, hurricane and flamestorm, but i have way too much to work on thats closer to being done. I will probably paint up a 10 man Rogue trader squad and either a robot or a dreadnought before I start this. I will get to the thunderhawk! Well, sooner or later lol.

For most of the metal models, I will spray them in a thin layer of sealer, which will make them a little shinny, but I don't want the pain to chip. What do you guys think? Or are there other options?

LoL did you buy that T.Hawk recently? Those things cost an an arm and a leg.

This is the first model of Lord Macragge, before Citadel designed him for the Ultramarines chapter! The writing at the head of his chair says "Our Presence Remakes The Past". This was used in all of the rogue trader ultramarine flags, and is still in the current 5th edition space marine codex, on page 23 at the bottom right!

I finally got my hands on a rhino hatch that was only manufactured for only half a year in early 1989. It is incredibly hard to find and took me 3 months to hunt one down!

it is maybe 2mm off, so i will have to fill it. I paid only $14 including shipping for this!

I'm back! lol. I've come to the descision that my camera cannot capture the colours correctly. Everything is either too bright or too warm. It might be because of the thin layer of sealer gloss that i've been applying to my metal models.

I've completed the Tech Marine, as well as the Rapier Laser, which i will use as a thunder fire cannon, until the rules for the upcoming forge world rapier laser come out!

I've decided to push through my Rogue Trader army, with a decent paint job, to try to get to work on the next greatest custom marine project! Just so when I get to the next army, I will hopefully have gotten way better at painting in many different style. Mainly dry-brushing and shading, rather than just detail work. Thats the main reason why I'm taking a long time to get stuff done, because my army stlye right now is detail and outline work.

I am going to design and build magnetic side turrets for the land raider. I am using the old bolters, and a Space crusade dreadnought expansion flamer, which I will resin cast. both turrets will be styled after the twinlinked las-cannon turret!

After 5 grueling months of bidding and waiting, I have finally gotten my hands on a full 5 man squad of these Rogue Trader terminators! This specific terminator was featured on the White Dwarf magazine #109, and was manufactured for only the first half of 1989,http://www.solegends.com/citcat89/c894106marines-h.htm before it was completely replaced by the "second release" terminators. This terminator had multiple nicknames, like The Cobra Terminator, and The Turtle Terminator. LOL, just because of the massive back piece!

I think that I will have a lot of fun battling with these terminators! I will also be making a resin casting tutorial with 2 parts, 1 normal, and 1 hardcore version, which I should have finished in the next couple of days! I still have a lot more coming in the mail, so I will have to start painting more! Thanks for looking!

Here are 3 painted Rogue Trader Space Marines. The one on the far left is the first space marine model that "Citadel" (now games workshop) named as a space marine. It rumor'ed to have been realeased in 1985! 2 years before the first warhammer 40k rulebook was created.

This is an old Imperial Robot (Crusader). The robots were released in 1989. This is indeed a part of warhammer 40k too!

Im planning on having a full Rogue Trader assault squad too! I've ordered 10 of the old jump packs, and now i just need to hunt down some assault marines! I have also resin casted bike bases. For hopefully 6 jetbikes, 9 normal bikes, and 4 attack bikes! The next update will be interesting! do you guys have and ideas on how i can improve anything? Thanks!

The game is 2500pts each player with 5 players per team. I have personally never seen a game that large before, let alone played. Im scavaging a list together, with what i have assembled. When i finish this entire project, it will be easier to make an army list. Right now, my list is

This is a squad of Space Crusade scouts from the Advanced Space crusade expansion. Most people don't like the scout design, but how could I personally pass these up? After about a year of hunting for bikes I have finally gotten enough bikes to make: 8 normal bikes, 4 attack bikes, 1 chainsword captain, 1 librarian, 1 chaplain and 1 M.O.T.F with conversion beamer! for a total of 16 bikes with 3 extra! the bits at the bottom left are extras. This is my rogue trader land raider "dry fitted", hence the elastics. I magnetised a multi melta to the top to make it work better for the new rules. The side turrets will also be magnetised, allowing me to add flame storm cannons and hurricane turrets. The big imperial eagle on the front is an extra from my lead thunder hawk!

This is the first whirlwind, armourcast did make a very few of theres, but games workshop also released through white dwarf the instructions on how to make this! I plan on making 3 of each tank. I also have another extra lead imperial eagle from my thunder hawk! Which will go onto the top of one of the whirlwinds, to designate a sergeant tank!

I'm thinking of working on the bikes first, since my teammate for a coming tournament will be assembling some imperial guard horses in the next couple of days, so we can have a tone of fast attack!

Great work and holy hell, I've never even seen those terminators before! They actually make sense alongside RT marines and dreads, it really is "tactical dreadnought armour". I guess I'm going to have to hunt some down now.

Can't wait to see all of those bikes, they must have been easy to find.
