Just finished this one up. A great figure to paint and learned a lot on this one. Tried NMM on the axe blade and OSL on the pack grill. Turned out just ok but it was my first attempt at OSL. All in all I am pleased with the overall results. A much better figure than GW by far. I think I have lost total faith in GW figures and doubt I will ever buy another one! COmments and critiques are welcomed!

Agreed, very nice job on Lola there. Only suggestion would be to practice your reds more. While they look good, they seem a little off, especially with the NMM there.

Nice work. I like the glow on the arcantrik generator. The face color looks nice as well.

Thanks guys. The reds look MUCH better in person. It's really hard to photograph red for some reason. I adjusted my white balance but it doesnt seem to help the reds at all.
Warpseer, thanks! My first attempt at OSL. Still have a long way to go

Heh, I know the feeling. My Khador remain largely unphotographed for precisely that reason.

Very nice, the effect on the grill is one of the best bits of the miniature, so subtle.
Although one criticism, the NMM blade. You have highlighted the top bit on the central flat on the front, if you'd highlighted the underside of the flat, like you did on the ones next to it, it would have looked better IMHO. I note you have done a few flats on the back the same way.
Also, this might be me just being picky, but I note you have blocked out one half of the flat with the lighter colour. Most people would have tried to go round the edge a bit more. A bit like two lines at a right angle, only getting thicker as you near the corner.

Good work man. The blade turned out very well. The backpack is a bit too small to have a go at propper OSL though. If you want to practice that, another mini might be a better choice.
