Hello dakka!

Recently I got hold of some VC that i got rid of a while ago, and remembered that my dad drimmeled the faces off of two of the vamps, and wondered if I could make a custom vamp.

So, as usual, my imagination took over, but as much as I think about it, I can't think of a good female miniature as a base for an elf like, elegant beauty who's looks could kill (Get it?)

And this is my dilema, does anyone here on dakka know of any good female miniatures that would be good for this purpose, sorry if it seems like i'm asking others to do my hobby work for me, but i realy can't think of any models that are good enough.

Thanks,

LazzurusMan

Thank you so much!

Thats exactly what i've been looking for!

Just from looking at the model i'd probably use a different, slightly more elf like head, remove the colar to make way for some long hair, use a more elegant looking blade, and thats probably all i'd have to do...anyone know where i can find such a model?? ^^

I might try to check out the Reaper line of miniatures, originally intended for D&D and whatnot:

As for the scale, I'm not sure, so you'd have to do some homework before hand to find out.

Good luck

Why is it that only those who have never fought in a battle are so eager to be in one?

Just seen this model in a seperate thread, and wondered what everybody thought about cutting and pasting until it looked vampirery enough?

Yeah just put a ring on her left hand and she's a vampire.

I did think about using the Lhamaean, but after serious thought (Leading to a hospital trip XD) I have decided to use the Mordheim model as it is probably an easier convertion and cheaper...hopefully XD

The Mordheim model can still be found on the GW site. Their paint job actually doesn't make it look so great.

Comes in two pieces though, with the blade hand being separate from the rest.

What does everybody think about cutting the head from the Lhamaean and putting that on the Countess model...or are they both slightly different heights???

Possible, but fair warning, the Lhamaean is one piece and that braid runs from the top of the head down the whole model; so you have that to contend with.

Hmm...in that case i would either ATTEMPT to sculpt long hair on the model or just use a seperate head...

Most welcome! As nOt_u wrote, GW still sells it, so most GW stores should be able to get you one. I painted up the countess for a friend, and the GW paint job doesn't do the model justice. As for converting: wood elf or some eldar heads are firm favourites for female heads if you stay in the GW range. The collar is easy to cut off, so one straight cut should help you out there.

That is a nice model...but seeing as i play at my local GW i'd probably have to either use a second GW model as well or just go with GW only :/

Very Nice model though

Just had a sudden thought on the Lahmaean/countess idea....
I'd use the Dark eldar head and cut of both the pony tail and the top of her hair, i'd then attampt to sculpt some long flowing hair going down her back....you guys think this is doable??

Definitely doable, just don't try to sculpt all the hair at once. By using sort of thin strips you can get it looking less like a cape and sort of branching off at the end as well as giving it slight depth.

Hair is pretty easy, so yeah, it's doable. Take your time, and experiment with the curing time of the gs for different effects.
