In the rules it states that units kept in reserve can't be split into combat squads, but can they be deployed into to combat squads when they deep strike? If they can do they both take individual roles for deep striking? Or just the one as a unit, then you place them in two different places?

They can be split when they are deployed.

They Deploy via deep strike when you roll a 4+ for the unit in turn 2, 3+ turn 3 etc.

once you determine if the unit arrives, you roll scatter for each combat squad individually, since you are now deploying them via Deep Strike.

awesome thats what i was hoping to hear, got a ten man VV squad for my DoA list, and i was hoping to deploy them as to combat squads
