Nice model, nice base. Highlighting is a little thick though for the armour.

Thanks for the feedback. I think the armor doesn't come through very well in that photo. I'm still trying to get the hang of photographing miniatures. In any case, I've added more models to the party! Duke sliscus will rule all, bwahwaha!

Nice use of colour, and like the others said the freehand on the venom is good stuff. The armour looks well blended. If you want to push them; something thats sounds funny but really works is a tiny touch of dark green in the shadows to help the purple pop and then maybe add some magenta to the highlight.

Dude, respect and props for the high ambition! Your ideas and scheme, as well as the overall freehand-design reflect greatly upon your inspiration and creativity as well as artistic understanding.

HOWEVER

you are still lacking in the technical part of painting. You need to thin your paints (more), and you should definitely take more time to accomplish some decent gradual colourchanges.

As it is, your miniatures look good, with a feeling of "he really wanted to, but couldn't quite capture what he dreamed of."

Refine your techniques, take more time, and your stuff will be spectacular!

I don't want to be human! I want to see gamma rays! I want to hear X-rays! And I want to - I want to smell dark matter! Do you see the absurdity of what I am? I can't even express these things properly because I have to conceptualize complex ideas in this stupid limiting spoken language! But I know I want to reach out with something other than these prehensile paws! And feel the wind of a supernova flowing over me! And I can know much more! I can experience so much more. But I'm trapped in this absurd body!

Thanks so much for the feedback everyone!

@wazzdig -thanks for the ideas. The idea of green as a shadow makes sense and I'll probably give it I shot.

@Archont - thanks again for the excellent feedback. I think you've read me like a book. My propose for this army is to try to really stretch my technical painting skills. I agree that patience with perfect blending is a weakness of mine, as I quickly get bored my hope is to keep at it for the next year and hopefully have some models ready to make a showing at golden demon.

I'll keep posting models as I finish them if I keep getting gear feedback! Thanks again everyone.

EldarVet: You took my words like a champ, trait of a great character.

I started out very much the same like you with my Eldar - the Idea was to one day have an Army with freehands on every inch of every tank, taking my time, very, very very much time.

Nobody learns by doing simple schemes over and over on giant armies.

You learn and become better by testing your boundaries, by trying new stuff. I really am looking forward to your next work!
