The picture is kind of blurry, but I like what I can see of the snow base and the shading on the back of the cape.

It's not blurring as such it's the light distorting the picture.

Too much light, I suggest you make a lightbox if I want quality photos.

Anyway from what I see, It lacks that focal point that all charcters should have, It's solid enough painting just not special. Anyway If you want a proper review we'll need a better photo.

Are there any posts out there on how to create a proper light box? Would like to get some better photos of the work I have done.

Probably work

We probably have a tutorial for a 'more professional' one, but here's a mindbogglingly simple one that will cost you about $4:

Get cardboard box.
Get white sheer fabric.
Get white "for sale" sign.

Cut front off of box.
Cut windows in two sides of box adjacent to the front.
Cut window in the top of the box.
Run fabric over the sides and top of the box. Tape/glue fabric down.
Cut the white sign to fit box, and then put it in there such that it runs along the walls of the bottom side of box and the back of the box. DO NOT CREASE IT! You want a smooth curvature.

Put model inside, and shine light down from the top. Should diffuse light well enough to give you a good picture. If it doesn't, layer another sheet of fabric over the existing one. Fluorescents work well, as does natural light bulbs.

Obviously, professional boxes are going to yield a much higher quality, but you can't beat this for the price.

Hey, I don't take the best pictures either, but the quality is good enough to tell that this model has some quality painting done to it.

I just think that putting him on a red object blurs out the whole colour.
So you might want to retake them on a more white or black thing.

Because red object, red cape, red flag..

OP likes claymore xD

*Tip on camera:

Its not the light box or the blur that made the pic weird.
Its the giant red container, its over saturating your camera.
