Here's a model I did a while ago, I might build a diorama for it but I can't think of an idea.

I love KV-2s!

But they got pretty battered during the war, I don't think many of them made it through...

Where I see this is in wheatfields during that golden summer of 1941, maybe knocked out by entrenchments? Or as part of a desperate Russian defence? Either way, nice golden grasslands 'n' dugouts 'n' wooden pillboxes.

Thought I'd give the whole 'Blogger' lark a go...
-Cadian 812th (rotting in a cupboard)
-Dark Angels 3rd Company (in disfavour, eBay?)
-Irun'Mahn (pretty and deserve love; why aren't I giving them it?)
-Draigo 'n' his Merry Band (to be continued) - How to magnetise Grey Knight strike squads' two-handed and special weapons
-The Maggot Host
Klan WurldWaagh -Are now in my first P&M blog! If you like the idea of WW2 and Orks, please take a look...

Nice work on the rust and weathering.

Now I know where GW got the idea for this:

There are very few intact KV-2 tanks left in the world. The Central Armed Forces museum in Moscow has one.
Bovington Tank Museum in the UK has a Kv-1 in winter camo colors.
Aberdeen proving grounds tank museum in Maryland has a KV 1.

Almost as rare as an entact German Elephant/Ferdinand (only 2 exist, one at Kubinka tank museum in moscow, the other at the US Ordinance museum, Aberdeen MD)

As far as a diorama, just go with something simple like the tank crossing a slit trench or something, perhaps with infantry riding it. Tamiya has a kit of russian tank riders that would be a good starting point.

English Russia.

I'm not a fan of Kv's, the turrets way too big. Nice model though, and excellent painting.

As for the diorama:
Instead of doing a battle scene like most people do you go for something abit different and have the crew at rest around the tank with maybe a canvas stretch out for shade/dryness and have the crew making a meal or something. Also you could have the crew trying to fix the tank in the field or maybe the crew reciving medals or battle honours off a general. Just some suggestions that vary from the norm of 'it's a tank, therefore it MUST be in a battle scene.

Oh man, the first monster I see I'm going to sneak up behind him, whip out my wand, and shoot my magic all over his ass.
