Well, if one wanted to an IG army based off of pretorians (or more interestingly, zulus) there are a tremendous number of sets now, with very cheap figs in many cases. You'd be able to really individualize every figure.

I wonder if they could be used for the Sudan, I'm uncertain of the uniform differences besides color. Any historical player here know?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K4qdgno-huo the perfect song for Dark Eldar

Four scholars at Oxford were making their way down the street, and happened to see a group of ladies of the evening. “What’s this?” said the first. “A jam of tarts?” “Nay,” said the second, “an essay of Trollope’s.” “Rather, a flourish of strumpets,” advanced the third. “No, gentlemen,” concluded the last. “Here we have an anthology of pros.”

Depends on the unit. Cavalry had beige "jackets" with blue trousers, for example.

There is a whole lot of complexity when it comes to European uniforms

Looks like really cool stuff. My only gripe is that warlord has a tendency to never take photos of the sprue. The zulus though have been photographed by someone:

There's a pretty awesome breakdown of the various uniforms in the Sudan on the Perry website here.

Looks like you could get away with it for some regiments.

Depends how seriously you want to take historical accuracy. The most obvious difference is the detail on the cuffs and stripe down the legs, you could just file/cut them of. With a khaki paint job I don't think most people would notice any difference. But you may induce some nerd rage in OCD button counter gamers

The massive deal?

These figs look excellent. I'd have to see them to be sure, but if these zulus are as awesome as they look, I can see a lot of business coming their way.
