After reading about the Undead Wraiths and how they are ghosts who manifest themselves into the physical through sheer power, and wanting to stray as far away from the "default" paint job (cover art, mantic's versions) as possible, I wanted to make these models as "ethereal" as possible. Loving the Army of the Dead painted miniatures, I looked up a guide of how-to, and although I've painted a few US troops and German tanks for Flames of War I did all in one setting, this is my first fantasy miniature ever painted (and my second total painting attempt).

No bases yet, but I'm satisfied with the results.

I am hoping the bases will provide some vital contrast to make them look more ghostly against a normal, earthen base.

I am still awaiting the rest of my army in the mail, but later I'll make sure to include some pictures of them contrasting with the rest of the (normally painted) army.
