My P&M blog will be used to tell the story of a character(s) that are chosen from the Ultramarines to found a new chapter commissioned for a specific task/goal. This will be accompanied by pictures of the character(s)/models. Including my current Ultramarines and their journey to building a new chapter. I am still learning all of what goes in to building my own chapter, so this will take quite some time and things may change or be altered from what I originally put in this thread. My goal is to not only to create a new chapter, but to tell a story and eventually make a model for each solider in the chapter. I am welcome to advice, criticism, and references. Please point out any mistakes I make so I can take a second look at it. I am very open to suggestions, but remember that in the end I will make my own decisions.

These are photos of my current Ultramarines, they are not very good and none of them have their bases finished, but I think they are decent. I had aspirations to make the entire 2nd Company of the Ultramarines, but after realizing how many people do that and the fact that I really wanted to write a back ground for my own company, I decided to just drop it. I'm not sure if I am just going to keep my finished model painted like Ultramarines or strip them and repaint them in the my new company's colors, but I will be taking pictures of different models to go along with the story as it goes on. I have more squads that I will add pictures of later on.

    _____________

My 2nd Company 3rd Tactical Squad. The Sergeant is a conversion from the Black Reach Sergeant.
    Spoiler:

This is the metal model of Cato Sicarius. I don't really like this model simply because the metal makes the paint look funny. In person, the helmet looks like gritty globed paint.
    Spoiler:

2nd Company 1st Tactical Squad. This was the first entire squad I finished painting and am very happy with it.

Those look nice, a little superblue, but I'm guessing thats picture-based. What are the new colors going to be?

I'm still deciding, but I think I am going to stick with a blue and maybe do a pattern armor with some Dark Grey. Charcoal Gray is one of my favorite colors. Still working on it. I'm also planning to strictly stick to the codex for company colors and such. After all, they are a going to stem from the Ultramarines.

    Edit:

The super blue is probably because of the camera light I was using, in reality they are more of a dark blue. Hopefully my picture taking will get better lol.

I like your ultra marines, I have an army of them myself, so I might be biased.

A well thought out closing remark.

Thank you, I actually use enchanted blue instead of ultramarine blue and I think I like it better that way.

This is my first concept for my new chapter, it is not complete, but I want to know what people think. Not sure if I like the bright highlights on the grey. Maybe I should use darker highlights.

My first idea for my chapter's emblem
    Spoiler:

My previous attempt redone with a slight difference of highlights. I've decided to stick with this color scheme.

What do you think of "Blades of Perfection" for a chapter name?
