Okay, so here are a few pics of my last conversion - my hellhound. Not really a fan of the old or new kits for it, so I thought i'd give it a go!

edit: - Hmmm... no finished pic of the hellhound, when I found it again i'll take one as the paintjob is now complete

Then follows a few preliminary shots for my christmas project

Size comparison. Do you think it will end up large enough to be used as a gargantuan squiggoth? Opinions welcome.

That Squiggoth would be hilariously awesome. I want to see it when it's finished. Although, I would say it's a tad on the small side.

First off Fantastic Hellhound! Second, I love the look of that for a mini squiggoth. My two cents on it would be to make sure you blend the neck to the body proper, it looks a little disproportionate from one to the other.

Thanks both. Just been looking at it with a mind to upscaling the body... think I may have to just look for another larger body. Think it would be a lot of work.

edit - can't see a way to contact one. If a moderator pops in:
I think this thread may be better in the next section down, so I can ramble from project to project, once I get my camera working again. My fault for not reading the section description closely enough.

I laughed pretty damn hard at that T-Rex/Rhino hybrid. I think its gonna look awesome when finished.

Edit: Also that Hellhound is pretty bitch'n.

Unless you're really confident that you'll find a better one, I wouldn't scrap the body. Since you'd need to sculpt in order to blend the head into the body, anyway, you might as well elongate the neck, a bit. While you're at it, give him a tail. Chop of his feet and give him some new shins, too, if he's feeling a little stubby. Suddenly, his footprint is significantly larger and by the time you bulk him out with armor plating and a new and improved howdah, he's sufficiently gargantuan.

Since i've got my hellhound on here... some photos of the bases my guardsmen ended up with.

Also the bases i'm currently working on which are intended for my marines, but may end up on my Grey Knights if I get round to building them.

WOW! I''ve never converted anything myself so i'm not going to offer any advice. But what i will say is what a great job you did on that 1st tank JUST WOW. I love seeing stuff like that and the progression of the model. As for your giant beat there. Starting to look pretty good. I have a feeling you'll make it look awesome regardless
