I just wondered what people thought would be a nice caster to use alongside mcthralls?

I mean the obvious one is Skarre, she looks like she likes some good cannon fodder. And of course Deneghra seems like she would work, too.

Terminus.

Skarre's probably the best choice, simply because of Dark Guidance. McThralls hit plenty hard, they just have issues actually connecting. DG helps that nicely, and the feat turns them into killing machines.

The ones who really buff Mechanithralls are pretty obvious - pSkarre and pDeneghra do a great job of it. pGaspy isn't too bad for doing the job either, although he prefers a more 'all around' force. Casters who want a good delivery system also benefit from them, like Terminus. Beyond that... Mechanithralls are generally an 'all purpose' unit.

1 or 2 squads + a Necrosurgeon can do some amazing things for your list, and generally won't break the bank either as far as points go. Use them to add a bit more 'horde' to your list and watch your opponent's eyes bulge as you unleash 30 for a mere 15 points.

What size base are Brute Thralls on? And just how many can you field?

Far as I've understood it, they're medium based, and you can field a lot of 'em.
If you can field a somewhat large quantity of Brute Thralls, would not eGaspy be something very tasty to run them with?

Bring back Tartarus, Brute Thralls and fill the rest of the space either with Bane Thralls to get the armour debuff going, or with Knights for some extra damagy goodness.

But, then again, I DO see the problem in them not doing anything out of their statline before you feat with them.
(although their statline IS pretty darn badass).

pSkarre, Terminus and Mortenebra. pSkarre boosts hitting and damage on her feat turn, Terminus likes a cheap tough (regenerating) screen and Mortenebra likes her troopers cheap so she can fit in more Warjacks.

pGaspy theme list is an option, AD mechthralls.
Casters that make them more accurate or durable are good options.

Definitely Terminus. Tough on a mechthrall is disgusting.

Terminus+Withershade+Bane/Mech thralls & surgeon + enough warjacks to fill points is a very viable list. Terminus is simply hard enough to shrug shooting and break most armor, and two attacks allows mechthralls to kill def12 infantry with ease.

I've had a lot of luck with pDenny crippling a jack/unit and then running mechthralls in to decimate it.

On a feat turn against a crippled opponent, Mechs are hitting MAT 9, P/S 15 single strike, P/S 19 combo strike + 3d6 on a charge. Thats a whole lot of Ouch.
