Alrighty, I have the backbones of a chaos army in the making and I'm wanting to include 10 Noise Marines all with sonic blasters as some decent AI.

Looks good on paper and they've play tested well as proxies. However looking at the GW boxed set they include 3 sets of sonic weaponry. 1 champion which has a Doom Siren and a PW, and 2 ambiguous looking cases of sonic weaponry which I assume are sonic blasters and not blastmasters. I've checked a few bitz stores and only 1 had any Noise Marine parts, which unfortunately were quite out of stock. Now buying 5 boxes of Noise Marines to get 10 models out of 25 that I'd actually use is not ideal, so my question is how else to do I either convert or purchase sonic blasters?

Thanks in advance!

This is the only way of really getting them other that the box from GW

I cut the front off bolters and attach the gargoyle heads from the chaos rhino sprew, then attach a hose to the backpack. You get 4 small ones in the rhino box.

What an overpriced bunch of baloney. I'd suggest making your own if you value money at all. Over $22 for 5 blasters? Outrageous. That's almost $45 dollars just for the guns for your 10 noise marines. Just the arms and guns! Making each marine model cost what? Way too much, that's what. Stupid GW pricing.

Try putting the gargoyle heads on the ork custom blastas.

I am willing to bet any ork player will have a ton of those in their bits box to spare.

It's super easy & cheap to make your own:
Sonic Blasters- made from bolters turned upside down w/ ammo feeds & barrels removed, a piece of sprue trimmed to fit the bolter holding hand & the vent off a jump pack

Blastmaster- made from a RB/LR heavy bolter cut in half before the ammo feed, flipped over, cut to fit a bolter hand, 2 jump pack vents attached, supporting arm is a CSM chainsword w/ handguard w/ the chainsword cut off.

This is my favorite solution. It's pretty decent for it.

Ah the chaos rhino, the source of so many conversions
I rather like some of these ideas and I'll give so feed back when I've tried them out.
