I've started painting my necrons again and was just curious as to the schemes out there. if you have a necron army scheme that is different from the norm(bolt gun with some green thrown in). this can include crazy conversions.
I'll start off.

Alright, so I'm not so very far from the standard... My colour scheme is Mithril silver for most, shining gold on the plates and joints, etc, and black lines (No black for automatons, few black lines for warriors, more for immortals, even more for Lychguard and so on.. Black denotes rank).
Also, I don't have many pictures but these few should demonstrate:
Warriors... And I really need to redo those crystals and that OSL
Flayed ones, and yes, I take every possibility to paint as much blood I can.
Tomb Stalker because, well, I like him.
And I really should add some glowing effect to his eyes... Perhaps between his body segments too..
(Also, sorry for Tomb Stalker not being based. I'll update with basing when the sunligt outside allows me to take a new picture)

Alright, here's what I've been working on:
There's a hierarchy in my dynasty which is shown through colored plating. Warriors have no plating, Immortals and semi-sentient Necrons have silver plating, and those who still have minds - members of the Royal Court and the elite Lychguard and Triarch Praetorians - show black with gold trim.

Hahah, thanks. Just gotta say, it's the weird photo angle. In reality, he's leaning forward with his weapon preparing a cutting arc with the axe.
So, it really looks like he is in the middle of a jump forward to decapitate someone.

Hammer. I really like the guy in your 1st picture. The guys in the 2nd picture need some serious painting fix ups on thier weapons.
I also really like Day2dans 1st picture.
And I also think CrystalGeysers necron looks sickkk!
Great thread and I hope lots of people keep posting thier necrons cuz its cool to see all the variations in 1 thread.

Maybe you meant me? I don't think Mad4Minis posted any pictures, just quoted mine.
As much as I would love to play around with one, I don't own an airbrush.
For the crystals/rocks I painted the source rock sunburst yellow, then drybrushed scorpion green over the rock and immediate surrounding area. I then did a slightly lighter goblin green drybrush over a larger surrounding area.
The rods are just layered up from Gnarls Green (A P3 paint, I think roughly equivalent to dark angels green), through goblin green, scorpion green, and a 50/50 scorpion green/sunburst yellow mix. Still working on improving the blending there.

I've done 2. You have to have everything on, put on beads of glue, and then sit him down and float him around until it fits. Its fiddly. I use the Testers plastic glue with the long metal applicator. Too much glue would be disasterous.

Really liking your bronze Blackmath. I'm partial to bronze myself, though I like to play up the patina.
For me it's Nihilakh Dynasty fo' life, yo. It was the Nihilakh photographs that first got me interested in the new codex.
I've also used ornamentation to denote rank. The higher the rank the more bronze/blue marble. Warriors get none, and it goes up from there. Purely mechanical units like Crypteks get no ornamentation, but instead a polished steel (got some steel polishing powders for this). On vehicles the mechanical bits are always a very dull iron/steel.
I also wanted an excuse to use as much dynamic, green OSL as possible, so I decided that scarabs left behind glowing green ooze trails as they devoured things. That has been pretty fun to model.

I always find it odd that I see others doing the copper/bronze thing, but no one else seems to do a patina. That the the main thing that attracts me to bronze/gold.
Anyone else a fan of the bronze/copper patina?
Pic related. Glorious oxidized bronze action.
