Hey Dakka,

Long time lurker, first time poster. Here is a quick Cryptek conversion I did using only parts from a single Necron warrior, GS, and a syringe needle (Where's a good source for ~<1mm Diameter rod?)

I am not very experienced with greenstuff and I find it difficult to work with. It feels like working with gum sometimes - good, sharp edges are pretty much impossible.

Crypteks, I imagine, are more like frail wizards and use a Warrior-sized frame (4+ save) rather than the bulkier frame the GW model has. The deathmark head also bugs me.

Anyways, I hope you guys like the general idea - 10 crypteks for ~$35! I'll post a painted pic soon.

I really like how this looks. Simple work and most definitely a good economical choice for cheap crypteks. The gs work isn't to shabby, check out some tutorials for help refining your skills, one of the top tips is keep your fingers wet. It helps to smooth the gs out and not leave fingerprints like the little one I can see on his cape. Good stuff and keep it up.

I love it!!!

Hobby Lobby has rod like that. 3/64th brass rod comes in packs of 6 for about 3 bucks. The craft stores and hobby stores in your area probably carry it.
